THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It is. I don't give a **** at this point. It's a kickass job (right up my alley, like the last one I didn't get) with a company that looks pretty awesome and it's closer to a reasonable commute from NH, which is where I'll be building next if I finish and sell this place. Worth a long commute.

Hell, I'm an idiot. I voluntarily drive 50k+ miles a year in a ratty assed jeep (when I have money for gas.) I did like 8 trips to PA my first year on NAXJA just for shits and giggles basically and loved it. A 1.25-1.5 hour commute really doesn't bother me, I was sitting in traffic for an hour a day working for Intel and didn't care all that much.

Realistically, are you going to get anything done on your house if you have to commute that far?

Also, thinking it's going to be anything under 90 minutes each way if it's a 9-5 is unrealistic. The Pike between 128 and Framingham area is normally jacked up during rush hour and 128 is totally unpredictable as well. Driving is one thing, sitting in stop and go for 3+ hours a day is another. I like to drive too, but I get sick of sitting in traffic on 93N trying to get home at the end of the day. Also, consider the ~$33 in gas you'd use a day.

Where would be your next spot for building in NH? Again, anything within a decent commute of Woburn might as well be MA.

Not trying to shoot a bunch of holes in your ideas, but something to consider.

You act like I actually sleep. :laugh2: 290's about the same as 90 most likely, I used to sit in traffic there too when I worked in Hudson.

No idea where I'd aim for - I nearly bought a place on a few acres in Greenville before I found the current shack, basically anywhere over the border. My only reason for choosing NH over MA is politics and land cost (which as you said is about the same in southern NH as it is in MA.)

90 is very bad at that time of day. Never been on 290 during rush hour, but I'd imagine 90 is significantly worse. I'd suggest doing the commute one morning to check it out.

I'm out.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

This dude lawn darted his shit at the race and completely ****ed the front frame up (literally tore the front frame in half, was barely connected on one side). Skip to 13:30 to see the roll, and 16:20 to watch Chris and I idle by

lol i knew exactly what section of the course he was on and was like, yeup.. he aint gonna slow down for that jump is he?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

At least Ross has a legitimate excuse

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Keep being a **** about shit like this and I'll just shrug when you guys ask electrical questions and play dumb. I'm getting tired of it and I've got plenty of people asking questions who aren't dicks when I try and help.

thanks for the help the other day! even though i ask retard questions haha

Interview tip #1:
Don't start off shaking my hand while saying "Nice to freaking meet you". Then during the course of the interview throw your arms back over your head and slouch in a relax position.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I dunno. I am probably heading out to Woburn sometime next week for an interview, we'll see, I could meet up afterwards. Also, I still have those two dumb steering shaft bolts for you in my center console if you still want them. Was there anything else I had on the pile for you or was that it? I forget.
I just had an interview in Woburn. We could do lunch.

only acceptable when the interviewee has on jean, and tucked button down shirt with the top buttons undone with the white undershirt color exposed and their $5 walmart cross necklace handing out

Interview Tip #2
If I ask you if you can pass a drug test don't ask how long you have before the test takes place. :dunce:
I'd kick my feet up on your desk
I'd hire you on the spot.

Probably better than the 50gallons of the latest Hipster cologne this past guy was wearing.

Kidding aside, I swear with all the people crying for jobs, why is it so hard to find someone good for an entry level position? I mean, I think I'm offering a decent pay at $19-$24 and hour for starting position.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so did you hire him?

There are many other reasons that particular candidate won't be getting the job. Things like:

Interview Tip #3:
If I ask you how you stay current in the tech field and you answer blogs and forums all the time. Good. Then I ask you which ones and I get a response "You know, the MSN one and junk, well... maybe I don't read them too much."

Why lie? Just be honest.
