I have at least two power seat bases sitting around at this point that are all yours if you want them. Otherwise I am going to find something stupid to do with the motors.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i have the two from the seats dave gave me its more i just want to figure out the current needs and which side of the plug is positive and which side is ground

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Weirdness is happening,
33s are on and all and now instead of taking away mpg im seeing a 2ish mpg boost :twak: same trip that took me a 1/2 is taking around 3/8s the gas :spin1:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Stop using your gas gauge to measure your fuel economy and put a proper speedo gear in.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Got the bolt in and the shimmy stopped

After my gas light goes on the next time I start up the gas gauge is to the left if the E, freaks my wife out

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

OK, so the speedo gear isn't as much of a concern then.

The gas gauge is nowhere near linear on an XJ, and in fact on most vehicles. In fact there is usually around 3 gallons left in the tank on my 98 between the gauge reading E and the jeep running out of gas - out of a 20 gallon tank. The gradations don't have any actual meaning, usually. The only way to know exactly how much gas you used between fill-ups is to fill it completely, drive, then fill it completely again, preferably at the same pump.

I think so but dont just face weld them. make them go all the way through if using tube. and if its just going through plate make some braces to spread the load out. like hammered did on the bumper thats in the FS forum.

I wouldn't surface weld any recovery point with a 140 amp welder or less.

In fact, I like to get the long tabs and have them go THROUGH the bumper, so I can weld on the inside and outside of the structure. Makes for a much stronger recovery point and side pulls are almost guaranteed not to wreak havoc on the face of the bumper.
