I was at a machine shop today. I was talking to the old dude that owned it and was telling him I wish I had one of those old giant line drive lathes, so I could take the belts out and bolt an old stick shift to it. So he goes, like this?

Starts it up and starts bangin gears on an old model A transmission.

He had more bad ass shit, but nobody here would know what it was. I didn't take any other pictures either. But your typical early 1900s machines all modified a thousand times over the past 100 years. That lathe I took a picture of is 48 ft long, which is huge for the small shop it's in.

My 88 doesn't want to die at all.
The uppers weren't willing to go easy I had to cut the bolt on one of them the other I just cut the arm.
Lowers took 2 bolts being cut off. That's was bullshit.

You clearly know way more about them than I do. I think they're cool, because my dad has just about always had one. All I know about them is that they're called Porsches though. I had to look up the model you were talking about, he's had at least a couple of those too.

This was almost the first stick shift car I would get to drive.

Same color and everything, he had to sell it soon after a got my license though.

Sitting at Charlotte NC airport, waiting to leave for Knoxville. Visiting Alcoa tomorrow.

At Newark I was sittin at the bar next to this Asian lady...got into a conversation about pool with her and the guy next to her. She leaves, and then I find out she was none other than the Black Widow in professional billiards. I felt like a big chump after that. :laugh:

Ive seen a couple of trucks with stacks that look freakin' sweet. Ive seen alot more trucks with stacks that looks like shit. Flat black low cut single or dual stacks can look real nice depending on the color of the truck.

I was gunna do that, still probably will if I can find one for sale. When I put the bumper back on, it looked soo gross with the chrome grill still that I just had to paint it. Im hoping to come across one at the swap meet next weekend, Ive been keeping an eye open on CL as well. Its tough to find a red 2gen sport with a good front end though.
