Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

kieth you have a c clip rear axle, you can no longer wheel with us, aperently it takes to long to swap out a broken shaft

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Some dude building a Saab buggy on Pirate.

Everyone telling him he's an idiot.

Hilarious, but sad. I love seeing different drivetrain builds.

LS / TH400 / Atlas gets so effing boring.

Started so cool, then just turned to the same opinions regurgitated over and over. Hopefully it turns out badass and all those dudes just blow him for days.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I might just take the Honda to events and bum seats from people. If the jeep does get finished and a sticker I'll just drive it to a few.

Ross, we may talk this summer. I'm paying out of pocket for my had fitting course and license so moneys tight until June.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I love jobs where I show up and have to do nothing. I dont know why I even brought the crane, I cant reach the unit and all we had to do was move it a few feet outta the way for the roofer to patch a hole.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mint.

I hopefully fixed my dipstick for the third time last night and dropped the passenger side downpipe. No exhaust leaks there but it was in the way of doing the dipstick.

Of course the hardest bolt to get to was the crustiest. It took me like a half hour to get that one bolt out without rounding it off. All I could use was an open ended wrench. I hate those deals. I wish the headers used 2 bolt flanges instead of 3.

Now I know why everyone goes to v-bands.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh I also found out that when I nailed that tree at the snow run, I took a chunk of cast off the block for one of the motor mount tabs. My uncle said not to worry about it.

Also all of the bolts for the 241 to NV4500 were loose and there was a little chunk missing around one of the bolt holes. I must have never checked the lengths of them because they were only engaging the 241 by like 2 threads (about 1/4"). They were the bolts that came with the 241, but the chevy transmission must have a much thinner flange where the 241 bolts to.

I put some longer ones in there and loctite'd them. Now they have over 3/8" of engagement.

x2

after playing with the v bands on my dodge, I never wanna touch another type of clamp, theyre awesome. that a lap/band clamps, makes exhaust work soo much more enjoyable
