THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Why is it that your the only one around here that knows what's up

Because I actually ran boggers. Duh.

Really though, they were junk in the rocks. For the little mud I did they didn't impress me either. I got stuck with them at the mabell mud pit when it was open for what its worth. Didn't even get very deep.

Not sure what iroks have for a 16.5 but those were decent for the price when I had my 36s.

It seems that you need stupid power to make em work good in the mud, anyways the iroks come in 37, 39 and 42's I just don't like the idea of chris having them vaporize in a wheelin season I may look more into the 38.5x14.5 sx's

I've only seen them out on the trail one time in NH that I can remember. Guy had 37" Boggers on a K5 locked/locked and couldn't make it around an obstacle without winching that other people made it up in an XJ on 32" BFG MT's locked/locked and a TJ on 33's open/open. I'm sure wheelbase was definitely a factor, but the Boggers just didn't hook up like other tires did in the same spot.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

**** that shit, they got weaker sidewalls them all terrains, I did. Like my sx's besides the size
sarcasm, dude.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i want 37s. now i just need to find someone who will trade 37s for my 35s...

hehe

Boggers are only cool if you want to sound like a biplane driving down the road. And you don't drive your jeep on the road so what's the point?

I miss that sound. Absolutely the biggest benefit of running those things

Mudge has the 38.5x14.5 SXs and they're actually a 38.5 unlike the 12.5s... fwiw :)

I know that's why I'm thinkin 14.5's, I think my local tire warehouse seels swampers gonna see what they got tonight or tomorow for prices, its a lot easier for me to save and buy 2 at a time then get all 4 saved up for

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'd rather not go wheeling and save money, than ever buy another set of Iroks.

Boggers have shit for lateral traction and will send you downhill sideways in a heartbeat if you start spinning them while even a little off camber.

Trxus MT's actually did really well for me and are one of my favorite tires I've ever owned.

Plain ol' TSLs are hard to beat for a balance of value/durability/traction. I'd skip the Boggers though.

**** tsls. Mine were down to half tread within 3000 miles, they couldn't hold a bead for shit if I aired down below 15. And the big lugs were useless because the carcass was so soft it just folded over when it began to grip.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Was looking for an old TSL pic but found this one in the meanwhile.

Man these were simpler, easier days. :)

Tj flares? How gay.

At least I wired up the marker lights.

And they got me through NJ modified height inspection...although I balanced it out with garden edge molding in the rear.

TSL's kickin it old school. 2004.

Obviously the best vehicle to wheel at Tellico. Manual steering as an added bonus.
