THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

what exactly is leaking? and why can it not be fixed?

Hopefully the AW4 no longer is, the StaK is next up to figure out. The whole bottom of my tranny tunnel is bare steel and literally none of it has rusted, thats how much gear oil is all over the place. I gotta recheck the seals I replaced. It used to pour out when there was a 1/8" gap around the seals, now it only pisses out passed the seals

Seriously, maybe I should change my name to Pat.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Woke up at 5:30 to go skiing today...spent a solid half-day at Hunter. 17 top-to-bottom runs and top speed of 62.5 MPH. That got kind of sketchy as it was 15 degrees, cloudy (zero contrast on the snow), and windy as shit. Good times. :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Dropped $150 to fix my tent. Had to replace basically all of the pre-bent tubes since they kinked/snapped from the weight. The canvas and all the straight tubes are fine.

A new tent went up about $80 in price. It's now $380.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Any difference between a 96 and 00 231?

Maybe the VSS, but that's all I can think of?

edit: there might be something with the way the output seals/mates to the driveshaft too.... doesn't matter if you put in a SYE tho.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ditto.

I won't be able to make the 24th run.

I believe we're heading to Eugene's for April? I'll definitely be making that.

Gaybot.

Eugene's is April 20th, but we're doing a trail cut/clean and wheeling day on April 7th at the Backyard, so you should come out then too. This goes to errybody in UJ, PLEASE COME OUT ON THE 7TH. We want to get some of the trails there ready for the year, and it would be nice to have more than 3 people to help out.

what a loser, even im gunna go. whos the run with for eugene's? or is it invite only type of thing?

Like someone said, it's a UJ run, so come with broski. Have you ever been there? It's ****ing badass.

Damn, beat me to it.

should be almost none. indicator lamp switch may be different but swapping the old one in will fix that.

Maybe the VSS, but that's all I can think of?

You're right about the VSS (iirc - the 01 should have a flat-terminal 3 pin, the 96 should have a round-terminal 3 pin) but the output / rear driveshaft design change was from 95 to 96.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i really wanna go wheelin, but im gonna try and pinch pennies the next 2 months to get some tires

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Indicator doesn't work anyways

And I'd be putting in a sye

God damned thing took 3 hours to machine. 316 stainless is a bitch.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

member on DWE has a set of 37" boggers fo 7 bills, hmmmmmmm.......

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Luke, what kind of cutter are you using? Substrate material makes all the difference when machining SS. Regular HSS is not ideal.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Tin coated carbide.
Lots o' coolant. Job was kinda on the back burner.
Kept all the feeds low and took small cuts the finish call out was a retarded.
I forget it now. But It was enough to slow the job way the hell down.

All that matters is in the end the boss was happy :worship: I still have work tomorrow. yada yada yada.

Also for size reference the part was around 25 inches long. Started as a 4 inch hunk of stainless.

Cool big stainless buttplug.

Is it 3pm yet?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hopefully I can get this O2 sensor I'm sending back replaced under warranty and receive a new one without it taking a month.

This Innovate LC-1 bullshit has been so annoying.

First my sensor would read erratically all over the place. I'm thinking what happened is that I got a defective one, and then the heater wouldn't kick on because it didn't know wtf the sensor was seeing so it must have then burnt out and gave me a permanent error. Downgraded the firmware after doing some research (I guess the new firmware is eh) and no change.

Plugged in my friend's known-good sensor in it worked great for a few minutes. Then I revved it up and when the engine was coming back down the sensor read full lean. I think that is a firmware issue so now I need to revert back to what I had.

Also, I think I need to turn the response time down from instant to 1/12 second or 1/6 of a second. I think the instant setting is causing some random spikes since the 440 has a decent cam in it.

Hopefully I can get all this bullshit figured out before the race in May.
