Did some shooting this morning and get all my gun safety and LTC stuff done. Stopped by the police station and got my forms and lined up a meeting in a couple of weeks to get them to sign off on it.

gotta love it when people sell axles missing parts without any mention of it and they get passed through a few hands before anyone opens it up or tries to run it. 8.25 "missing brakes" just became 8.25 "missing brakes and spider gears." :bs:

Guess I'll add a set of 29 spline 8.25 spider gears to the list for the junkyard run tomorrow.

Luke, I'm reasonably sure 27 spline spider gears will fit a 29 spline axle, I *think* it's just the side gears that are incompatible. I just talked to Doug, he said he has a set of those to try, if they fit without backlash/interlock issues they should be fine, if not, I'll be sending a set of 29 spline ones down with him next time he's up my way.

Gotta agree with Billy, I've heard nothing but good things about them. For being an I6, they're pretty powerful and aren't too bad towing even.

I just went to BestBuy to return a GoPro remote my mom got me for my Bday since it doesnt work with my Hero2.



I ended up walking out with a complete Alpine system for my Dodge :doh:

Kastien I am not thrilled by the lack of spiders. I am also kicking my self for not popping the cover. It was not his fault so I'm not mad at all we are making it right. If it doesn't the Dana 35 seems to be holding out ok kindaish. Put more diff fluid in it and it quieted down

Yeah, I dunno what the hell on that. The dude who sold it to Doug dropped it off at my yard since I was going to put disc brakes on it for Doug, but then he decided to go another route or something. All I remember him mentioning when he dropped it off was that it was missing one c-clip, I was gonna give Doug one of my spares but forgot and I think he ended up giving you one from another axle he had around or something? Regardless, it's pretty lame to not mention a lack of spider gears at all, I just wish either me or Doug had realized before it went to you.

Regardless, spiders/sides are on the list for tomorrow if I get a chance.

I'm willing to risk 16 miles of driving to go to work and back twice. Unless you all think it's gonna go and just go soon.

I got the c clip from a 27 spline were I also got the brakes with Doug. No diff fluid in it so I cleaned some rust from the carrier but other than that it's good.
Idk why some one would sell an axle like that. Kinda pissed it I spun the shaft and thought it was smooth but didn't care really not knowing. It's going in if I get it done on Thursday after work I'm tired of the wounded Bee as my dad calls the turdy5

I risked it to till mine locked up on me, luckily i was just leaving my driveway

Hums a bit, but not to bad and kinda clicks in tight corners

"driving it and being careful" is great till it finally locks up and suddenly the ass end of your jeep is sliding and wants to pass the front end.
