THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

D35 kinda went. In the driveway, 8.8 is going to be coming Saturday. Serious off road easy 8.8 if I get one. Going to the yard, hopefully karstein can go.

Not sure where you got the R from, but everyone gets my username wrong in some way or another :looney:

I just found a search phrase that this thread doesn't come up for. "mcmaster shift". Oh well, it used to not come up when you searched for that... guess it does now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Herman has new injectors. 20 hours but they're done.

Colin-open invite for sunday or is it like super exclusive and you don't want me there?

I'm reading about this latest fungwah shutdown and...

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/27/nyregion/chinatown-bus-operator-ordered-to-shut-down.html?_r=1&

This week, government officials in Boston and Washington ordered Fung Wah’s buses off the road. Initially, the company agreed to sideline 21 of its 28 buses Feb. 23, after Massachusetts officials said they had failed inspection. Then, on Tuesday afternoon, the federal Transportation Department extended the order to all of Fung Wah’s buses.

The federal order came after the Public Utilities Department in Massachusetts said it found that several Fung Wah buses had structural deficiencies, including frame cracks near their axles and engine cradles. They said they had also detected shoddy attempts at repairs, like incomplete or failed welds.

Ken's jeeps: 100% inspected/registered/insured

less cracked and better repaired than fungwah buses.

I can't believe they are actually running a business on shit in worse shape than my jeeps. That is horrifying.

They need to hire you as head mechanic if they want the company turned around.

COME DOWN I NEED YOU IN MY LIFE

I'll try my bestest.

sounds like this is shaping up to be a wicked productive work day

NOT IF I CAN HELP IT

Nice!
Any issues? How it go?
Run better?

went fine. a few *really* hard to get at bolts but otherwise just a lot involved, not really difficult overall just time consuming. Didn't pull any cups so that was a big bonus. Seems to be running much better, though it's still smoking a little. Not sure what's up with that exactly. I'm going to change the oil either tomorrow or Saturday, and try to get through this tank of fuel with all the additives I'd dumped in it and see where things stand. Knock on wood I think things are looking up for Mr. Herman...

Time for some Facebook wheeling tech.

Open differentials are just as good as lockers. As long as you ride your brakes.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Every time I have tried that technique it has not helped at all.

Day off. Feels good.

Get your ass down here on Sunday Travis.

Anthony might come too.

I'll try. I want to drive Herman around a bunch beforehand to feel more confident that everything's all set. But as long as he's good, don't see why I wouldn't head down to :kissyou:

Uhh what?

Interesting that the director of utilities (who should have nothing to do with DOT inspections) is writing to the FMCSA to get Fung Wah placed out of service. Also interesting that the Department of Public Utilities (at least according to this article) is doing DOT inspections that are normally handled by DOT officers or DOT-trained State Troopers.
