I'm not a fan of those style braces.

I'm more of a fan of the kind that the aftermarket makes for the Dodge trucks. Connects both rails together and then uses a self-centering bearing on a turned down nut to double shear the sector shaft.

I think Adam got the nut and bearing from Chris when he planned on making one.

I told Adam when he got around to it I'd help him build the brace.

This house-buying shit is stressful.

Got everything in line with financing, all looked good, was ready to pull the trigger, and some assclown comes in with a similar offer but 100% cash.

Seller just wants to get it over with (it's an estate now that the owner died) so they went with that and left me hanging. The agent was going to call me if anything changed; that was last night and this morning.

Found another (potentially cooler) place nearby, slightly more $$, but 2.5 acres with a decent-sized detached 2 car garage and a bunch of other nice stuff (also no neighbors and 12+ acres of protected woods off the back). Going to look at that after work tonight.

Just got a call that the buyer on the first place might be getting cold feet, and now they might want to reconsider my offer. Just as I'm reconsidering my offer too depending on what this other place looks like.

****in a people, I'm tryin to get a jeep build finished here...

That style is obviously better, mostly just for sector shaft strength, but the MORE brace already exists and itll sure help keep the frame from cracking apart

I never finished mine, but here was the nut I made for it:

and the bearing

You can do that and make a cross brace to support it that bolts to the swaybar mounts pretty easily.

so just ruined a $50 driveshaft support bearing, should of never wasted my time building this ****ing truck and sold it for $500 when i had the chance

What's in Cincinnati beside Skyline Chili? I find Ohio to be pretty boring down in that corner. My GF is from Dayton, just up the road. It's pretty damn flat. Lots of cool looking tractor/farm equipement junkyards along the highways that I can never stop at. Feel like dropping a box of "Stuff" off in Dayton. Don't worry, the box will be sealed and "you don't know nothing about it" :shhh:

its not a ****ing power stroke you ****ing moron! im atempting to fix it, someone lacked maintnence on it. bearing still spins free just dosnt look great i just forgot to use a stock spacer peice when driving it on, owell FIRI

I just picked up two new Spicer 1410's for my nice one piece driveshaft .!..!.and some 806's for the front axle.

its not a ****ing power stroke you ****ing moron! im atempting to fix it, someone lacked maintnence on it. bearing still spins free just dosnt look great i just forgot to use a stock spacer peice when driving it on, owell FIRI

Whatever diesel it is. You did buy it from billy. If you hate it so much i'll buy it from you for 500 bucks.
