wouldn't an XJ shifter boot work? I would think it would be the same

EDIT: The parts manual does not have a different boot for a ZJ vs XJ, so I assume they're the same part number also.

I'm planning to risk a $500 fine and a year in jail playing tonight I guess :laugh:

I'm really not worried about it. A) I'll probably be cruisin mostly in NH, and B) I can't imagine I'll get a hard time anyways- odds are pretty good I'll have more than one opportunity to pull some dumbass out of a ditch. Not to mention, it won't be a problem to comfortably and safely pull away from a crown vic tonight, even if someone does try to pull me over :laugh:

From what i read the ZJ boot is model specific.. and unobtanium. Yeah something can be made or modified.

To be honest, when we closed the deal i knew i wasnt going to be using these parts.(After reading more into the OBDII swap issues) He had another guy interested in the whole rig.. who fell out. Seller notified me that he pulled the parts... so i felt obligated to follow through with the purchase so as not to screw him. Figured i'd just flip them.. maybe even make a few bucks on it.

But if i have to make or repair pieces it no longer becomes worth the hassle.

He ended up scrapping the rig as it had to be gone..

yeah, I'm so close to the CT border I'm contemplating simply driving south before 4pm and not coming back until the ban is lifted.

I just saw a forecast saying 77" for my area.

Just got home from work and ate a bombass sangwich, bot to go get the ZJ ready to go so I can actually get somewhere in this shit.

Anyone have a 231 laying around for cheap? The one in the XJ is TOAST. I drained the fluid today and it was black/silver, probably a good thing, right?

Jon, call the jeep parts warehouse in Boston, local dealer should have access also, they have always had the unobtanium parts I've needed

The only damn thing I'll buy from Autozone is batteries. Their gold line is tits.
