THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Fired. I worked too slow for the company's preferences. It's actually a relief for how much they stressed me out. Sucks that I'm not bringing in money for a little while because I was just about to move out.

What ever though. The management there was such a joke and a pain in the ass. I'll just be a circus midget or something.

How much are you guys paying for handies?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That blows Keith.

Hopefully you can find another job soon.
X2.

There's something to be said for those that work a little slower but don't have to go back and fix 20% of your work... Sounds like they were the 'crank em out' type. I've worked for places like that before too. Pisses me off.

Good luck finding a place like that. They all have that attitude.

My father deals with the same BS.

Oh you want me to install glass in 5 mercedes today, in the snow, when it's 20º out and you didn't buy the glass from the dealer?

Yeah, have fun when these ALL come back for free repairs.

They were a company that wanted it all. And if you didn't give that to them and work off the clock, you got bitched at. I averaged 5-10 hours off the clock a week. No thank you. It's a blessing in disguise.

At least that's what I'm telling myself haha

dude **** that. working off the clock is something that should NOT be tolerated as an hourly employee. salary? well, that comes with the territory unfortunately.

on my side of things, i may be DDing my jeep soon. my stepdad is probably getting a new job (working for somebody besides himself for once) and needs a solid commuter to get around the 5 boroughs... he's gonna take the VW. i'll be looking for a beater eventually, i'd like to find a 4.0 5spd 2wd 2dr XJ.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i was driving it around saturday running errands and was like "this is nice." i just need to get the rear tire carrier built bc its goddamn useless without any actual cargo space.

Call me dumb or whatever (and not saying a tire carrier wouldn't be sweet), but with 35" MTZs I never carried a spare when just commuting or whatever. I did when I went wheeling.

I just kept a tire plug kit with me at all times. Never had to use that though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i never used to carry it unless i was wheeling, then i got too lazy to take it out of my jeep when i got home, so it stayed there. probably next month when weekends are a more tolerable temp i'll get started on it. gotta do shackle relocation things, bumper, and finally tire carrier.

Nice. What are your plans for the carrier?

You're tellin me about the temps. This past weekend was tolerable, but the weekend before was brutal. Couldn't feel my hands half the time.

I can't wait until it's at least 60º everyday.

like sam's on his XJ mounting to the bumper and to the jcr armor, except not swinging down all weird and swinging to the pass side, tire behind the driver side. i have some nice poly bushings from ruffstuff i'm gonna try out, if those suck i'll get some heims.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I remember you plugging my MTR, but not anything on my purple XJ?

Probably just don't remember

You coming out again this year Mark?

Plugging the MTR was what I was talking about, but if I recall correctly, you stood around because you didn't know how to plug the tire/have a plug kit. ;)

Nope, almost already have all my time off put in for, and I have a shit ton of expenses planned for this year. Trip to Key West in April for brothers bachelor party, 10 day trip back to FL in May for wedding/going back to the Keys (he decided to plan his wedding on my already planned/deposited trip to NC to dive Torpedo Alley, so I'm skipping his med school graduation to dive down there), another wedding in September. Then there is all the diving related crap I need to buy because I'm getting into tech diving, wreck trips, and I'm become a dive guide this year.

I don't know, maybe I'll get out again at some point in the future, but I have no clue when. This summer is already looking very booked.
