THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just got the worst pit in my stomach as I pulled over for a firetruck right now. It just turned into a daycare w a cruiser and an ambulance.

Thaaaat's not good...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sam, my friend's friend did a 5.3 swap in a similar situation to what you're doing.

He said it was easier to buy the new flywheel (he thinks McLeod makes it) than deal with all the BS associated with it.

Something to do with a metric pattern and odd size clutch and whatnot.

Hurm?

Easier than what? My research tells me I need a flywheel from a 4.8 or 6.0 and matching clutch (not sure if my current clutch will work, but i have the old stuff to try to match up)

I have also heard ls6 flywheel works too.

Almost all the chevy clutches are the same 10 spline output. The big difference with this motor is the crankshaft is like. 4" closer to the motor than the older chevys. People who run older autos sometimes just get a spacer, but thats no bueno for a 3 pedal setup.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm so pumped to go wheeling next weekend.

I love doing all the shit that makes wheeling it more fun/comfortable.

Like the dash/gauges, t-case shifters, fuel injection.

Can't wait to get the front tubework/door bars done and slap a hood/scoop on it.

Probably tack weld in some chicken wire or something in the opening to keep shit from flying in there. Or hell, just block it off completely. It would just be for looks.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I heard 4.10 gears (sorry, 4;10's) are the best, most desirable gears in the world.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Snow run at the gutter, jan 2009?

I look like such a Wee Todd.

also, my beard sucked back then.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Backyard and Dry Hill I think?

also, you were cool and hung out/went wheeling with us back then.

WTF d00d. Come out next weekend.
Ah, yes. The day of Kyle's dead tranny? (Kyle always did have some personal issues...) or Mike Merlina's tow hook denting my hatch? (I saw him recently, he sold his jeep)

Which day next weekend? I have to pack for mah trip. I'm getting up at 3:30 am on that Monday (2/11).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yup that same weekend.

Sunday. I'm not big on Sunday wheeling trips, but I want to go regardless.

I'm sure it won't be a long day anyway.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the entire time ive personally known Anthony, he has never wheeled.

When we met his jeep was on Jackstands with Travis's old axles halfway under it.

Eeh, Not this time. Thanks for the invite.

Listen here, the axles were all the way under the jeep. Installed? That's another subject :looser:

Come on Anthony I'm even contemplating going. Hell I'm even thinking Nacfest!
Psh, I've been to the last 2 NACfests.

You'll be here for a few months and then go on hiatus again, but happy to have you while you're here

you should do the wire and tell people that its there to protect small children from getting sucked in. most people think all scoops are functional.

my GF dad actually told me the "vents" on his Acura (where the not optioned fog lights would go) were there to make the car faster. they let air through and make it faster was what he told me. then I pointed out how there were no holes in them. and everyone laughed at him.

good times
