THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

tractor supply bolts by the pound is the best thing ever.

fact. damn near everything on my jeep is from TSC, mostly at Gr2 or 5 price too ;) the only hardware I ordered from grainger was all the countersunk bolts for my skids and diff covers.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Depends on when, where, and if the house has me broke and busy still then or not.

I'd love to. If you're coming to the GG run in a few weeks (assuming I end up going) you should take your MJ through the back way to the trailhead with me, I've hit 50-60 on a few sections of it. It's pretty short and tame which is why I can pull that off with my rolling shitpile. If I don't take mine, you should take it that way anyways and let me ride shotgun... :eyes:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Is anyone else going to do some dumb racing with me this year or am I all by myself?

maybe. depends if I get around to ditching my doors and b-pillar and making door bars. id like to do that southwick thingy you did.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just want to do as much shit as possible this summer.

Line Mountain, Southwick, NACfest, Rocktoberfest, Fall Crawl, NAXJA F&F trip. I'm pumped.

I just need to get going on my MJ. I'm gonna try and pound out the dash this weekend. Probably drop the pan, weld in fittings, and finalize it all the following weekend along with finishing up the console/shifter cover and door bars.

I'm gonna copy Chris's front end pretty much tube for tube so I don't necessarily need any fenders right now (I have a header panel in good shape). I need to start on that at some point too.

Is that part of the trail...? Or a road?

Southwick is definitely fun, but I need a faster orbital for me to do a lot better.

Turning seemed quick, but correcting back seemed slow.

Public town road like OFR. Basically a class 6. Shit, your MJ isn't registered, is it?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You would be all set, there is a place to park a truck/trailer well up into the woods. I used to see ATVs and dirtbikes riding up and down that road all the time when I was taking the MJ for a loop down that road every night before bed over the summer.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

there are some steep long hillclimbs at G2 that you could really open it up on.
thinking of the big long one that Jay pegged a tree on a few years ago? That we fixed with the NEA after it got tore up by jackasses and I ran out of fuel on in the 5 ton?

I hope that hill is frozen completely solid so I can hear some 440 noises :firedevil

Last time I ran that was either the run spring 2012 when I was the only person to show up, or the run over the summer when me and Jay were the only ones to show up. I forget. Whenever it was, the repairs were still holding strong, hopefully it hasn't been rutted out since then, though it'd give me an excuse to show up with the 5 ton again and haul dirt with the NEA.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Dwe memorial weekend, nac fest, nac f&f and fc is all I'm shooting for this summer all will probly be on borrowed 37's

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

or borrowed 46s, find yourself some dubs, NO BALLS

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think i might want to hold an amateur rockcrawl comp in my backyard this summer. nothing too intense. Just some laid back cone dodging with trophies made from welded together broken parts. Invite Only of course.

If I chop a few more trees down I have a pretty sweet open "comp course" kinda area with a ton of nearby obstacles.
