insurance dude is finally here looking at my bike. id like to get this damn thing fixed its depressing seeing it in my garage all beat up errday

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

HE'LL probably total it, i brought mine to a shop my buddy works at and he appraised the damage 50 dollars below the totaled amount. didnt have to deal with salvage titles or any of that bs, got a check fixed it and ran it. not sure if its the same with CT

anyone have any experience buying a vehicle with no title? found a 98 cherokee in decent condition for $500, just has no title.

i wish i had pictures of mine. i had scratches. they said i needed a new swing arm because it was scratched.... thats when i said wait a minute.... illl bring it to get appraised.

dude just left, 3400 worth of damage. now, do i feel like replacing it myself or do i just bring it to harley and let them deal with it.

Not in CT but first, why doesn't it have a title? Dude has keys for it and everything? If you know someone who is a dealer you can have them apply for a title for you. It won't be free though. It costs him plus I'm sure he would charge you just for the hassle, I know I would:thumbup:

That's probably true in MA to. It really depends on the situation too. You'd have to look it up, but if there's no reg or bill of sale type of deal it might get hard. I know it gets harder when you're going between states too. Even harder if you go between countries. Also remember if he doesn't have the title make sure he doesn't have a lease. It's old so it probably doesn't but having someone carfax the vin isn't a bad idea.

We've had cars from as far as PA that we've been able to apply for titles for that had either messed up titles or nothing in some cases. Sometimes it's a bitch other times it's a lot easier than we expected.

not sure what the deal with the title is. says its registered and he drives it around. trying to get more info but he hasnt responded. as per the DMV website it looks like you can pay a $25 fee to get a title. wonder if its really that easy. i'll get a carfax first

In rhode island you just show up with the last registration and a bill of sale and you are mint.

Rhode Island is definitely way more lax than mass. All I had to do to register the Honcho since it was from Rhode Island without a title was scribble on a piece of notebook paper and give it to the DMV.

Tomorrow at school we're going to a welding supply shop and theres going to be a few different welding/abrasive companies there, theres gonna be a ton of stuff on sale, and theres an additional discount and no tax if i buy it through my school. I plan on picking up a new welder, as mine is shot.

The only problem is, that its gonna most likely drain my savings acct , whatever though, ill just have to sell my dirtbike...

dirtbikes are gay. i had a guy come over tonight, said he would give me $1300 for it.

well as i go to start it for him, the kickstarter snaps off.

he offers me $500

**** off.

just spent the last couple hours fixing it.
