My drivers side hub bearing is gone again.

Timken this time? $200 from Rockauto. Suuuuuuucks.

The weird thing is, this will be the third hub bearing im throwing on the drivers side in 80k miles, but the passenger side is still mint (same brand).

So weird.

scrap supposedly just took a dive a couple weeks ago. raw steel should follow suit soon.

at least thats what my metal guy told me.

Scrap has been falling for the last two months. It's still steadily going down, the biggest junkyard in MA laid off like 20 people. If scrap is any indication to regular steel prices I would try and buy soon because you can expect it to go back up.

Just threw Timkens on my d30. Not sure what the price difference would be for a D60 but i got them from a ebay seller for ~$80/ea shipped (vs. rockauto at like $95/ea + shipping). Seller was partsgiantwholesale and it was only 2 days till they were on my doorstep.

Find the model numder on Timken's website and do a google search for the part #. I do this a lot - you can find some pretty killer deals if you know the manuf. part #.

Yep. I don't really need anything more than that, and if I ever move/travel somewhere that allows concealed carry, all the more better. Fits my hand extremely comfortably, way better than a 1911ish frame.

Be careful buying Timken's on eBay. There were some counterfeits going around in the Chevy world, sure it wasn't just limited to one model.
