Chris, have you checked out YJandcoreys build on Pirate? I think he was running radius arms and had some pretty impressive results.

On* cape cod. You're on the cape, not in the cape.

That is pretty sweet, just a high amount of phosphorecent algea?

I'll probably be scuba diving tomorrow night, turning off your light and swipping your arms around will usually yield bioluminecences.

1. Swipping - when someone has their buttcrack showing a little and you stick your finger swiftly down the crack of their ass.

Chris, have you checked out YJandcoreys build on Pirate? I think he was running radius arms and had some pretty impressive results.

I was supposed to buy the entire front end outta that truck about a year ago for $2500 and it got sold to someone else because Pirate was down when I tried to send him a confirming PM about it. :|

In hindsight it's not that big a loss as all that stuff, as nice as it was, is way bigger than what I really want to be running.

I also helped him put together what was going to be the revised steering on that rig before it got parted out, and I plan on trying to do something similar on mine.

He also said the radius arms still unloaded on climbs and we were workin on some plans for a suckdown winch to combat the issue (picture a winch with a split drum |==|==| mounted longitudinally in the chassis and two lengths of cable, one running to each front corner, with a tensioner device to take up the slack during articulation). With TTB the unloading has a fringe benefit of reducing the front track width as it unloads (picture the bottoms of the tires \ / ), which can help sometimes if you're trying to climb up a washout or something, but I think I'd rather not have that much weight transfer back if I can avoid it. Especially with how far back my motor is gonna be.

Usually it's not done because you can't fit anything *but* radius arms in any of the stock platforms that run TTB, so automatically that's just what people go to. I have a lot more freedom with link placement in my build so I've been diggiing to find out if it's worth it or not.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yea mark lots of algea or some shit.

chris, why not build a rear 4 link with a shit load of antidive so the rear lifts under accel to fight the front?

*antisquat

A shitload of antidive is what a radius arm front already has.

Lots of antisquat means wheel hop, and the last thing I want to do when accelerating is transfer weight forward. That's what the brakes are for.

Probably going for ~60-70% to try and keep a compromise between going fast, being a decent wheeling rig, and having OK ground clearance.

Chris, have you heard of leaf springs? They're pretty new, i'm the only one who uses them. They are superior in every way. I'm really the only one who knows how to set them up, it's pretty tricky. I'll give you some pointers if you want.

Here's basically what you should shoot for. This is a race truck capable of 230mph.

I call that checking the oil. Speaking of, did I ever tell you that story?

I was in a bar in Southie with my woman and about 15 or so of my old coworkers. Wifey had been next to me for about an hour, wearing all black, and suddenly I look over and see a butt crack. So, not wanting to pass up on a primo opportunity, I couldn't stop myself and casually stuck my pointer finger right down that crack.

The look of horror from a girl I had never met suddenly caused me to freeze in place with my finger still in her crack...oddly everyone in the area had turned and looked at me, so I removed my finger, and said "at least I didn't check the oil...?" and pretend motioned to sniff my finger from knuckle to tip. That made everyone else laugh, and confused the girl long enough for me to get up and leave. Turns out is was a sister of one of my coworkers in town from NYC. ahhh memories.

do you have a formula for it?

yo i cant even see this pic because work blocks it, BUT a picture coming from a master racer such as CMELO. I bet its race worthy:lecture:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

there is a small house for rent between a gun store and a welding shop a couple miles from my house. perfect for a couple, nice garage, cheap money.

tempting.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm thinking about picking up a TJ. Needs front axle work (i have a spare), radiator, and some other little stuff. Its a 99 with just over 100k, supposed to be fairly clean too. If I can get it cheap enough, I might get it and flip it.
