Think I figured out why my ujoints have been going so quick. My springs are warped pointing the yoke up too much. Time for some new clayton leafs

not as heavy as i thought once i took the drums off. so i put a 550 lb 60 in place of a 200 lb 44 and a 300 lb 14b in place of a 150lb 44 mounted further forward and with nearly nothing behind it. weight distribution is still gay.

Bet it's more than 300 when finished, plus huge tire, gas tank and gas, tools and I don't know how much weight you think you're loosing from a bed bob but it's not much if any all said and done.

Stock leaf mounts are prob under the firewall. You're putting jackstands in the middle of the rig.

I painted 80% of the frame on the chevy today. holy chit that was a pain in the ass. but i'm glad I did it, big improvement. It's in good shape anyway, but I'm trying to stay ahead of the game with it. Used to have a couple spots with surface ugliness, I wire brushed it all and went at it with the rustoleum. My arms have plenty of black lines though :laugh: I forgot how much it sucks to get this stuff off.

dont blame ya, maybee come memorial weekend and nac fest i can re arange the body on mine a little to justify a chop job to make the cage install easier, if not ill work with what i got, although worrying about glass or ripping off a hatch is getting old quick

i was gonna use somthin like 8-10 cap screws per a side so i dont think they will go anywhere, well see how motivated ill get, tomorow i get to swap the altanator in my managers car, i really dont care to much for workin on co workers cars but it seems i always get stuck doin it and shit never goes right
