Studs and lugnuts


I personally would never run just bolts on a high steer arm.

not sure if kidding. but lugnuts is too soft and the studs come with super duper legit nuts anyway.

My experience doesn't count.

I have 6 bolts and 2 keys.

And I've only wheeled one season on it.

I'd probably just run the bolts, especially if you won't have a ram on it (like Chris). If you do plan on full high steer with a ram, I'd get studs.

its gonna be all full highsteer, everythang above the leaves. its really effing high. might be concerned about tie rod to motor clearance, but i will find out once i bolt it all in.

Pretty sure Carmelo runs full high steer without an issue.

Also why is this a bolts vs countersunk holes with conical washers debate? You can use studs in place of bolts on a knuckle. In fact, they would be easier to use than bolts... Conical washers give more surface area or whatever to clamp down on or whatever? Cool.

i hear their nylon bolts are strnger than the grade 8 and look cooler

If you want to feel alot better then get some gay keyed knuckles. Having a different type of washer isn't going to change the fact it's just tightened down to the knuckle. The conical washers are split and act something like a lockwasher you say!? Suck my dick.

Get this. Everybody's worried that their steering arms are going to remove themselves from their knuckle. Just weld that shit on. You just plated your knuckle and locked your steering arm on in one step!

I ran studs and tapered nuts on the side that didn't have a steering arm on it:

Worked mint.

Steering arm got 1/2"-20 grade 8s though.

the conincalness keeps them from loosening up. and the studs are super duper stronger-er.

ive been talking about it for so long now, that if i don't get them, its gonna fail. its science.
