It's just little stupid things that equal up to being annoyed with it constantly. Bastard leaf pack isn't what I like anymore, and gives me stupid axle wrap, my flex joints always loosen and make this retarded clunk at speed, I need to go through my doors and grease or replace the regulators because those work like crap. Back seat was deleted when I did the boatsides so no rear passengers (sucks for non wheeling jeep excursions), both driveshaft cv balls are shot so I get drive line vibes..... (havent drove it all week I'm sure there is more)

IMO

to get anywhere close to 5 grand all that shit needs to be fixed anyway.

yup. the XJ market is shot in the NE right now. its full of wheelers that kids threw parts on and beat up for the past couple years, and now those kids grew up and are buying normal cars and trying to dump their beaters for cheap. you can buy a decent driver 3-4" lifted XJ on 31-33s with a bumper and a few lights with ~165k on it for $1500-2000. any real clunkers or ones that "need work" are going for dirt. and anyone who has a real rig that wants a few bucks for it isn't gonna get it.

so im scheduled to take the corrections test for CT on Monday, not sure if i'm gonna go through with it. starting pay is 38k (i can make more than that managing my restaurant), hours to begin with suck, and it can be up to a 3 year process. not to mention the state of CT is on a hiring freeze right now. I might just go so i have that as a backup, though.

I don't know much about corrections stuff (one of my friends was going for it a few years back, haven't talking to him in awhile though).

Starting pay might suck, but if you have good work ethic and there's upward mobility, you might get noticed.

plenty of room for advancement from what ive heard/seen if you work your ass off (which im not afraid to do.) but, hundreds of corrections guys just got laid off, and another couple hundred more were given early retirement. so not sure what thats all about. apparently theres 1,000 positions open, there just not aloud to hire right now. so there testing everyone so they can have it ready for when they are aloud to hire, who knows when that can be though.

and the thought of sitting around a prison with a bunch of scumbags all day isnt 100% appealing to me, the salary was. but, thats decresased a ridiculous amount over the past couple of years.

when i was going through the RI corrections program the starting pay was 54k and 20 year retirement, THATS what interested me.
