You'd be way be cooler, have more power, better economy, but with no place to sleep.

Nothing is cooler than a big block. Find me a reasonably priced stock LS engine that puts out 400+ HP. Who cares about fuel economy.

A truck 6.0 and a computer tune and you're there. Usually less than $2k down the road.

Is that what you've read on the interwebs or confirmed in real life?

This guy says you're not getting close to 400 HP on a 6.0 without a camshaft as well, which apparently is spendy.

Word on the street from a local tuner shop. I haven't gotten my LS dyno'd yet so I can't confirm or deny from actual experience.

So when do we see your dyno sheet?

your gas gauge will be FUBAR but everything else will work fine. Take the filler/vent hoses from the donor vehicle along with the tank.

I had a late model tank in my 96.
