THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

those would look great on a long bed MJ

You read my mind sir.

If I can get them I am definitely interested. If I can't I am probably still interested just need to figure out what I'm doing for a rear axle.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

this just seems like a terrible idea

when they unload the guys axle must drop like 5 feet

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i can already flex a lot. i just dont like how much my main leaf twists when completely drooping.im going to add some tighter leaf clamps i think.

i will be running maybe 3" up travel and 7" down (at the shocks)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

when are we wheelin?

hopfully sooner then later. Just did the clutch fly wheel SYE and chain in the case. my drivetrain is allset, just need to find a 4.10 8.8 and lift the jeep. I also geared my d30, still running that lock rite i got off you lol.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sam I haven't read anything about that setup.

Seems like it could be cool, though I'd think your axle would swing side to side as it droops/compresses opposing sides? I doubt that affects anything other than tire clearance.

Run it and report back.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You can try, I've never removed one before though.

New one is $20 after shipping.

Stuff a bunch of wet newspaper down through the pilot bearing, find a drift or even a wood dowel of the right diameter, and knock that bitch out hydraulically.

Heavy grease works well too but it's a bit messier.

thats what i was thinking. id rather run the joint in the leaf spring eye however, thats not as simple of a task as doing it on the body side.

i probably wont do it ,just thinking out loud.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Id just swap the motor too, screw pilot bearings, way better to spend hours swapping the motor

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

everyone knows corvettes are the kings of the offroad world.

Have you seen my screen name?

I didn't become internet famous by being a pompous, condescending, vertically-challenged asshole to forum newbs.

Everyone knows independent suspension is the old new hotness anyway.

I think its a decent idea, I believe trail gear or something like that sells them to replace the bushings in the leaf itself. Now that you mention it, I could probably use something like that too. My leafs/shackles seem like they bind up or something when flexing.

Pretty sure Alcan or national does too.. The Nissan guys I used to wheel with talked about this a lot.
