Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Punchy Rob is Punchy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I got taken on the 96 but I like to think I paid reasonable prices for the rest.

(I paid approx. scrap price for the 5 ton, it's now worth $4k scrap and I have $3700 or so into it except for the new tires I bought)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i have never paid more than $700 for a vehicle with the exception of my gas sipper.

even with all the abuse i put my jeeps though i would say they have been pretty damn reliable.

i win at buying vehicles.

Yesterday is the first time the MJ has ever stranded me... and I kinda drove into a stick.

Here is what the radiator looked like for those without facebook:

Just saw these cool pieces in a Summit catalog to turn an engine stand into an axle workstation:

I'm not paying $40 for a set, but I certainly plan on stealing the idea.

edit: well, maybe. Just remembered that my front diff weighs like 40 lbs assembled and is easily plopped on a workbench.

Yes I'm aware that diesels go for more money, but a 15 year old truck priced at $10K is ridiculous, diesel or not.

a ~1 year old honda car cannot compare, and what are you talking about problematic?

The briarwood was less than 1/3 of that price.
That's kinda like saying you know that Ferrari's go for more money, but paying $480k for a '97 F-50 is ridiculous.

Anyway, Mark you ever come up my way at all? Now that it's nice out we've got campfires and such almost every weekend night and a lot of weeknights. It ain't no beach, but it'll do. :)

i made a dolly for working on axles. rolls easily around the shop and puts it at a comfy work height. i can also do front axles with uncentered pumpkins

I have that also:

Actually we have a second lighter-duty one too that was modified from a bench press rack.

I'm just thinkin that 1) I'm not gonna have to work on uncentered axles anymore and 2) I'm a big fan of multipurpose shop equipment that stows away nicely so I'm not tripping over it when it's not being used.

I can't really put stuff outside at my new place so it's in my best interest to optimize the space.

just another hour and a half until freedom :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that sink looks awesome but it won't drain completely and would be a bear to clean.

The purple pig just threw a P1757 code, that means "haha chrysler automatic you lose" so if anyone sees a junk 2wd dodge 2500 pickup with a decent pedal and transmission let me know. No way in hell I'm putting another autotragic in this damn thing.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ken just gonna guess its hollowed out with the correct plumbing inside
Call harrells in auburn for price on the fert won't have issues unless you want it by the tonnage

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah that's fine but it looks like the drain is mounted in the old input bearing retainer, which means it's like 1/2 to 1" above the lowest point in the sink.

Awesome, will do! Thanks!
