So, 1940's jeep, ran perfect when parked 10 or so years ago gonna check it out tomorrow, what's the possibility the engine is still good? I'll try and spin it but if it turns by hand what else could be horribly wrong that might mean not worth the effort

From the pics there is minimal damage, it complete, still has dash plaque with radiator flushing instructions and rpm guide

All of them have horizontal slots, guy says he needs at least scrap, I know I only got 80 for my complete xj so maybe I can get this for 200, should be seeing it Sunday, maybe today

how the hell did this happen?
It looks like I am picking up a running, driving, "yard truck" grade 5.9/5spd/4x4 dodge 2500 with a working snowplow on it within the hour. For under 1k, complete.
I guess I will fix and flip the parents old van, return some of the money to them and use the rest to fund the junk truck purchase, then sell the plow setup (who has a 2500 and wants a snowplow setup for cheap?!) to fund the rest, then sell parts off and scrap the body. I think I can probably come out of these two vehicles in the black.
And then I have that damn 5.2 sitting around that I bought instead of a 5.9, what the hell am I gonna do with that? I guess it'll end up in something eventually......
I spend a year looking for the ideal donor and give up, buy non ideal stuff and then the ideal one shows up. Go figure, that's my luck :laugh2:
(cue Mark telling me to buy fewer vehicles, and Billy telling me to buy more 2wd ones)

Its a 151? If you pass on it let me lnow, i will take it. Just look at it caegilly, most of 5hemthe were cut into quarters by the gov and as i'm sure you know not everyone is capable of welding something like that properly. You can also all but give up pn the hopes of ever regestering it, they were deemed unsafe for civilian use, and ot takes a lot of work to get one past dmv.

This Ram is getting plowed with for about anohter month, if we ever get snow, and after that I am cutting it up. Everything except the axles, drivetrain, and wiring will be for sale super cheap.
Reportedly it even has the iron-case transmission in it, not the aluminum one. I kinda think I lucked out here.
