Why would exhaust smell like rotten eggs? Jeep ran fine all day sat, had plenty of power and didn't smoke

Oh yeah, I failed a driving test without even driving. Appearently I forgot one of the forms needed, but he had a spare he gave me. Then he said the GVWR wieght sticker on the truck was no good. What a pain in the ass, got another test setup for next week now.

Nothing illegal, with 1 ton axles, and a 440, I would say the gvw could be called high enough that a cat is not required

its an 86, no aw4. BUT thechief86 found 4.56s in his 84/85 with an i4/auto config, so im not sure. Just gonna check it and pull the damn thing probably.

Not like I need these to be super awesome clean looking wheels... That's XXXXing gross, and also how I spent most of last week. I have no idea how I produced so much bloody pus mucus while eating so little. I think the worst part was my throat being so swollen I couldn't yawn without it tickling and me nearly blowing chunks everywhere.

Edit: no onroad use = no cat doesn't matter.
 
I enjoy that we're trolling on jp mags what's your fave axle thing on fbook.

I'm still not 100% but I feel way better. Popping sudaffed to not be congested, it seems that's the only symptom left.

I managed to get that axle back together last night using an open carrier from a bent WJ axle and spider gears from a shitty XJ axle. Also had to use the CV shafts out of the bent axle because they're different lengths depending on whether it has the Vari-Lok or not.

Turns out the WJ axle is shimmed outside the bearings rather than behind the bearings like a high-pinion XJ one. So with the limited shims I had available the best I could get was like 18 thousandths backlash...oh well. :anon:

They're putting the axle back in the jeep today, can wait to hear what it's gonna sound like. :D

Wj d30s are good for only one thing imo, xj knuckle swaps. XXXX everything betweeb the inner Cs.
