THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

damn, this thread is dead today.

And I have the itch again. Anyone going wheeling in central mass this weekend, or should I actually fix my jeeps instead of having fun?

Fix your shit so you aren't always worried about getting pulled over.

Then let's go break it again. I can't this weekend, or next, maybe the one after...?

lessee... what do I have to fix...
e-brakes - easy, need a few ubolts and a drill
exhaust - parts will be here by this weekend to theoretically fix it most of the way
brakes - gotta bleed again
windshield - shit. still gotta talk to merlina about that.
rockers - welp, I'll probably ducttape/poprivet some galv 20ga across the gaping holes so it passes inspection
fender flares - hell if I know, might not even need them if I go the right place
rear shock has to be boogered back in place again
license plate lights need to be fixed (I know I get good power to the rear harness because it blew a fuse when I shorted it out. Just the sockets and short harnesses from there to the main harness are screwed up)
I'll probably slap the 31" snows on it so they are more likely to pass it, plus they will be better for wheeling soon anyways.

really the windshield is the big issue. The rest are easy crap I can fix whenever.

And it's always freakin' cold and/or snowing when I am at home these days.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

tcase in. just gotta get the xmember, starter, and driveshafts in and hook up the 4wd linkage and she should be good to go again.

what did you do about the frame?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that was the list to get it inspected, not to make it proper :laugh2:

What I will do about the frame for inspection: drive through a bunch of slushy puddles 30 seconds before going into the shop. no one is gonna want to crawl under it to check the floors and frame.

What I will do about the frame for wheeling: keep wheeling it.

Side note, going to the steel shop Monday to pick up a bunch of 4-5 foot I-beam sections and hopefully some 12-14 footers too. Gonna build myself a ghetto chassis table in the basement. I think I'll probably have ~400 bucks into the metal.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i was looking at tires last night.

37" radial trep, or 37" toyo m/t? both about the same price. the trep is sticker but will prob wear out waaay faster. the toyos arent as sticky but are tough as nails and will last for a while.

any input?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I got a set of free drilled and slotted rotors for my jeep. Shit's gonna stop like whoa now!!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

They aren't that tough and become quite sticky if you drive from RC to the campground without any air in it....
