chickenfesters! max reservation is 36. and 2 days befor the event we have 47. if i split us up into 2 reservations we will be in different rooms. which is lame. im going to talk to the banquet manager when he gets in. but usually theres a 200 person minimum. if they have an empty room all might be well. but my question is should i pretty much figure 11 people will drop out? and call it in for 36. or split it up into 2 reservations?

No way we need the 200+ room if it isn't open for us, obviously be good if it was, but we can't pay for it if they are going to charge us. If that is the case I'd say do the 36 group and expect the other 10 to bail. Worse comes to worse a group of a few people can grab another table somewhere (Mark smells like seaweed anyway).

What kind of gay assXXXXery is that? Doesn't make sense that they wouldn't have some kind of setup to accommodate a party size between 36 and 200 people.

The rooms there are pretty big IIRC. They can't do something to arrange that two reservations would be seated at tables near each other?

im going to speak with the banquet manager in a bit, no way will we be paying extra, but i dont think he will turn away a party of 47 if there is a room available. but id say we expect the 10 to bail and sit whoever shows up late at the kiddie table

I'm not doubting what you said.. I'm just stunned that they can't (or won't) do something to plan ahead and ensure to have space for us in a single room, especially where you're giving 2+ days advanced notice.

i just want some backup on this deciscion so if i screw up i can blame all you guys too.

If it ends up snowing a bunch you gotta figure some people will drop out as well

this. but id say its pretty unlikely that they a party of 200+ calls up 3 days before they plan on coming for a reservation.

last time i held it i dont think anyone bailed within 2 days of it. it was all the week prior. time before that maybe 15 bailed. so i dunno. i think il make it for 36 and whoever shows late gets thier own table

doin it for 36. first 36 people get to sit at the cool kids table. everyone else will get another table.

this would be an easier decision if people didnt bail out last minute on a random basis.

THATS RIGHT, EVERYONE WHO BAILED IN THE LAST 2 YEARS IS RUINING IT FOR POSSIBLY 11 PEOPLE THIS YEAR.

snows on a subie is magic. you literally can drive like the pavement is 100% dry and its july when theres snow everywhere and people crashing oh noes and you can go "ha ha!"
