Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was the only person on the road at 4am this morning going to work. Good thing too because I was fully enjoying the untouched snow covered roads. I got to make virgin tracks the whole way. With a bunch of powerslides of course.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yesterday i did everything in colins cool kid club and then some.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The roads were strangely empty all the way to work this morning. Not complaining, but weird for a Tuesday.

Took next Monday off since apparently my company (and my customer) doesn't have MLK day off. Normally that wouldn't bother me but a bunch of the guys in town do have time off so whatever, I get another long wkend :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

x2

With the exception of some time during this winter to go skiing out west somewhere.

My only exception is Carlisle in July if we even go this year again.

I actually love that trip. Parts shopping with my father while he's hammered at noon (who buys a Duster trunk lid for $40 when they already have 2 of them?), shooting the shit with some professional drag racers, and dreaming about buying some of the cars for sale.

Also there was one time a few years back my mother was seriously considering remortgaging the house in order to buy an original '70 Hemi Superbird. It was $60k at the time. Would have been awesome.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I plan on saving as much PTO for the summer as possible for wheeling trips.

I already have 3+ weeks of PTO saved up plus, as of this year, all of my floating holiday time, vacation time, and sick time goes into a single "personal time" account. All that means is I pretty much get to use my sick time as vacation time since I never call out giving me an extra 1.5 weeks of vacation per year starting very soon... so yeah, I have plenty of time saved up.

I think this month I'm taking next Monday plus one (or two) other days later in the month for a trip to VT. After that I'll be saving until somewhere in the March/April timeframe when I'll take another day or two, and then saving again until July. All said and done I should be able to keep myself at 3+ weeks of accrued vacation time without much difficulty.

Then again that's all assuming I haven't quit my job (or been laid off) before then.

 I almost deleted that a few min after I submitted it thinking "why the XXXX would I talk about that" but then got preoccupied with work.

That said, you could just skip over my posts and probably be better off overall. I think I have a 1 in 10 "relevant or interesting post" record.. and that's on a good day.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I plan on lining a new job up, to start a month or two after I plan to quit this one, and then quit. I will get so much jeep and house work done.

Of course, last night I was looking for my coat while my boss bitched me out, at 10pm, in the office, because he wanted me to stop building things properly (we just discussed this friday godammit) and build things ghetto again. When things are so XXXXed up and ghetto rigged that it pisses me off, you know it's bad. I don't know how he expects this to ever work and I don't really intend to be there when it does.

Tl;dr boss still stupid and ghetto rigging things, even by my standards

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I can't talk about it much.

Supposedly my boss was gonna have me sign an NDA for all this. He forgets everything that doesn't directly, immediately benefit him though, so I haven't been given anything to sign yet and doubt I ever will. I have some ultra boring stories to tell after I leave this shithole.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hey colin

The only coolers I've heard to stay away from in a steering system are the plate style ones. Both of the ones you pointed out would be fine.

why? i have a smaller (12"x4") plate cooler that used to be my tranny cooler i was gonna set up for my PS.
