THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Fawk my back hurts. Been bugging me ever since new years day. Part of me is really wishing I just didn't drink so I could drive home and sleep in my own bed after new years eve... The other part of me says that the party was worth it and sleeping on the floor was a necessary sacrifice. Guess I'll just have to see if my father can snap me back into place tonight. There are definitely benefits to having a chiropractor for a father and this is one of them :laugh3:

Only problem is that it's bugging me enough that I really don't want to sit in a car for the 45 minute drive home.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone want a long side Dana 30 shaft/unit bearing out of a '96?

Had to steal a knuckle off a bent D30 to fix a TJ over the weekend...got the shaft and bearing sitting on the floor just taking up space.

If this isn't spoken for I can stop by and grab it whenever.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My back just got snapped and popped back into place and it felt wonderful. Now I think I'll be in bed within a couple hours. Can't wait.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sounds like the stroker I would build. Fully port and polish the head, along with some vavle work and the roller rockers would make a solid top end and some good power gains.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm guessing the later cut since yours was from a '96?

Novak says the break is up to '93 and then '94 and later.

The 241 is a '94. So that would make sense.
yeah, figured I'd mention it since I know Chris' jeep was a 94, though it was 2wd from the factory so I have no idea what year 231 he had in it at any point...

I got a free 258 this weekend. I guess I have to build a stroker now?
do it you won't

I just learned that I'm supposed to put 450-500 foot pounds of torque on the lugnuts on the 5 ton. I guess I'll tighten those down when I get home.

edit:
If this isn't spoken for I can stop by and grab it whenever.
give it to this guy, I relinquish my claim :)

I'm debating running LS1 valves or 5.9 valves. I think they're the same size intake/exhaust, but the 5.9's will fit the stock stem bores. I'll have to price them out and see which is the better bargain.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have a 4.0 out of my old ZJ, so I'll probably take my time to collect parts and build it. I think with some minor head work, a 99+ manifold, header+full 2.5" exhaust, Taurus fan, cam and maybe roller rockers it'll be a decent set-up for a DD/wheeler. Any suggestions are welcome.

needs twin turbos

Lulz. I think that's been a long time coming... hopefully it doesn't affect quality too much, but I'm not holding my breath.

So here I am watching the sunrise in Niantic by the Atlantic. And wham, a high speed train goes by about 12 feet in front of me. It's too early for surprises like that.

Better than coffee I bet :D

My PS pump was hating life again per usual once the cold temps start. No worse than last year though.

Probably should have flushed that fluid when it was warmer out
