venison chili for lunch, bitches.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone want a long side Dana 30 shaft/unit bearing out of a '96?

Had to steal a knuckle off a bent D30 to fix a TJ over the weekend...got the shaft and bearing sitting on the floor just taking up space.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I thought we had a deal that you'd send me some? :bawl:

sorry, forgot. it's gone.

Seriously, though... I didn't get much, and every time I have it I have a HUGE desire to get my hunting license and spend every weekend in the woods when deer season comes around again. I'd love to be able to get her recipe and make a ton of it so I can share it all :)

In the meantime I'll just be sure to tell you fellas what you're missing out on :D

My brother-in-law just got over 80 lbs of venison back from his butcher, he nabbed two decent bucks bowhunting this year.

He's giving me one of the loins plus more stew meat than I can fit in my slow cooker.

Homemade venison chili en route shortly. :D

nice. Enjoy it. My friend's father gets one or two every year behind their house, and his mom knows it's just about my favorite food in the world. Even though he's now living up in Burlington VT, I get phone calls every once in a while telling me to come pick up my meal :D

No but do you have the input shaft out of that '96 I could have? From the NP231.

The '96 is back down the road with the D30 out of my parts '92.

Just give me the measurements of the bearing/length you need and I'll see if I have one, I know I have a bucket of 'em somewhere 'cuz I just kept reusing the same one.

Oh

I'll get some measurements tonight. Bearing OD/ID was the same through all of them, and I don't care if it's wide/narrow since you can interchange those bearings as long as they match the input shaft.

Going through the floor, then I'm making a box around it like big head's MJ.

I just copied Bill :dunno:

Doesn't mean it is right, but it does work.

Make sure you use at least 10 grade 8 1/4-20s at a minimum to bolt that top cover back on.

It's now a structural part of the unibody and you don't want it collapsing.

Feel free to drop it in the back of my rolling scrap heap whenever :gag:

It will go well with the 44 gears, yokes, and 231 parts.

Colin - what gear cut did yours end up being?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Alright mine will be a lot different, but it will go through the floor and have a cover over it. I don't know what I'm doing but I'll take pictures so you guys can laugh. :D
