THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The shafts that I got from moser are 3/16 longer between the bearing and the mounting flange, and now my brakes won't go togeather.

How about making a thin spacer piece to go behind the mounting backet to push the brake setup outward just enough to work? I assume the difference in the shaft isnt allowing the caliper to be centered on the rotor?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Welded on caliper brackets, and the chevy calipers mount inboard of them
The difference is off enough that the outer pad will not fit

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Can you cut down the shafts? Or call moser and say hey wtf pal!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Probably just get new brackets.
just got home from a call. Turns out a zj cant handle a 25 foot camper without flipping over

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone happen to have a shackle relocation bracket for ~4" lift laying around?

I'm kicking myself now, not long ago when I took my relo bracket off (when I made my own trackbar bracket) I wondered if I should keep it in case someone eventually needed one... pretty sure I junked it since "they come with most kits anyway so no one will need it". Now my buddy needs one  Going to take a 2nd look through my parts bin tomorrow in case I may have saved it but I'm pretty sure mine ended up in the trash, it wasn't on my bench where I probably would have left it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

wait, what? shackle relocation bracket? track bar bracket? drop brackets? huh?

Mark - it has nothing to do with anything.

:dunce: wow... can you tell I'm a bit tired? meant trackbar relocation bracket. Sorry.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How soon do you need one? I'm taking off my RE track bar, brace, and bracket soon. I can't start taking anything off until this coming weekend the earliest though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

big downside to the new place is the garage is under the house and aperently family members dislike it when your grinding late at night

I'll talk to the guy and see what he thinks. I know he was hoping to get the Jeep registered/insured/etc tomorrow but he might be willing to wait a week or two since it's not his only car. How much do you want for it? The only reason he might not be interested is price since I know he is already tight on cash after buying the Jeep, lift kit parts, steel, and other shit within the past week or two.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'll let him know. Does the bushing/flex joint need to be replaced/rebuild or are they still tight?
