THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's what some of the Mopar guys do, and those things are unibody :dunno: My uncles 440 with indy heads and whatnot in his duster just has elephant ears.

'Cuz they're also jumping them and flexing the unibody with thousands of pounds of unsprung weight.

They're running little stock radiators too.

Just not something I'd consider. I know how much my unibody flexed even after all the tube and plating.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Truth.

Well, this is what stock 440 new yorkers ran (bigger radiators because of all the power option bullshit).

Row No 3
Core Height 28 5/16"
Core Width 15 15/16"
Core Depth 1 3/4"
Inlet Header 3 9/16" x 18 1/4"
Outlet Header 3 9/16" x 18 1/4"
Inlet 1 9/16"
Outlet 1 9/16"

I can get one of those (or something like it) for nothing probably. Anything aftermarket like aluminum or something I'd have to pay for. Should I trust it? I'd get it hot tanked and pressure tested.

Tell them 440 or GTFO.

So family friend Gary used one of the BeCool Circle Track radiators in his '71 wing car.

It apparently cooled his 588" all-aluminum Indy hemi just fine up to 200 mph.

Sub $300.

I'll have to talk to him.

Then the motor exploded.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i have no idea what day it is. did uber christmas shopping yesterday, wanted to kill everyone with a machine gun at the mall bc parking.

first day of winter = 60F = MTB ride in shorts????

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i would laugh if someone kicks up a rock into it while racing and it spews coolant everywhere.
Just put a protective steelmetal cover in front of it.... wait.... yeah do that. :D

I think his plan is for it to be in the back anyway.

I love this weather. All the things I was going to do last week but couldn't do with my hands frozen...

I carry plumbing solder, flux, torch, and alumiweld brazing rods in my jeep. assuming I happen to be on the same trail run a radiator patch is no big deal, maybe an hour and a half including beer breaks.
