Trying to figure out what gear-cut was used on the NP241 I got from the Chevy. It's from a '94 so it could be either early or late style.
Tried calling Drivetrain.com, they were no help and said there was no changeover.
Then tried calling Quad4x4. Lady answered the phone said no one was available who could help me, and said to email. Also couldn't tell me if they had any Castrol Syntorq fluid available (for the NV4500).
So useless.

Rockland Standard Gear can probably help, I'd call there.

Jesus, people complain they want swag, then they complain it takes to long to come in from a custom order, then they complain when they order the wrong size, then the want special treatment for something new... gosh.

If the jacket is truly unwearable (and not in the LI "I wear sixteen things under my jacket" sense) I'll see what I can do about getting you a new one in whatever size you see fit. The other one I'll raffle off or something (at least it doesn't have you name on it).

So I just spoke with someone at Advance Adapters who knew their shit.
He told me I should just be running the stock input/outputs on the gas version and I was wasting my time swapping the shafts out even with a big block. I'd basically need $400 to get to the 29 spline mainshaft in the NV4500.
He explained it this way. It came in a 360 small block, in a stickshift, that was rated to move ~20k lbs in high range (where there's more load on the transmission). I'm putting it in a Jeep with, yes more power, but at MOST 6500 lbs.
He then asked if I actually knew someone who had broken an input OR an output shaft.
Now I feel like a tard.

she drives a PRIUS
gets out of the car "oh my god I LOVE your truck!" and kept saying how badass it is.
then later that day im out in the woods with my cherokee and some friends shooting guns and she comes to my house and i go to my driveway to pick her up and she was in disbelief at how insane my cherokee was.
we wheeled for 5 minutes and was the most ecstatic person i have ever had riding and could not get enough of it.
