Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Haven't been to mabelle in 3 years and have no interest in goin back your backyard seems pretty XXXXin sweet though

i love mabell. you just need to have the balls to try all the hard lines. then once you think you have them figured out you have to do time trials from bottom to top.

Hey Sam, I think I just got a PM that was meant for you.

Poor guy gettin' his internet celebrities confused I guess.

I remember seeing some pretty big stuff off to the left once you get to the top...definitely wouldn't mind going there again when I get the new rig done.

you aint sposed ta go over there.

that trail is described as "the most exciting 5 minutes of wheeling ever"

im serious about the time trial idea. make sure nobody is on the trail and setup some cones on all the harder obstacles (must do the hard obstacles no bitch lines)

Well, figures. I just walked around over there anyway.

This was the only ledge that gave me problems...not the best pic, it's like off to the left somewhere as you're going up.

Start at the bottom of Gatekeeper, finish line at the top of Committed (loop around and go up to finish)?

i gotta hug the far right on that line. theres a little groove you can run one of your tires in, then get the front tires on top of it then floor it.

if its wet or slippery, forget about it.

1410 or 1350 driveshaft u-joints?

I'm thinking 1350 as it will be a hell of a lot cheaper.

I think the Ford NP205 comes with 1350 yokes from the factory. I already have a 1350 yoke on my front D60, and getting the rear D60 to 1350 just requires a new $40 flange adapter.

I'm also going to reuse the stub/slip portion of my front driveshaft (1350 as well) so realistically I just need 1350 double cardans and another slip/stub for the rear.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What was that, your first day? I did that on 33s :anon:

Actually...it was, kind of.

Shakedown run late April 2007, broke a 60 shaft on the first obstacle.

Two weeks later got the wrong alloy shafts delivered.

Week after that, finally got the right ones, drove over a few cars at the junkyard.

Week after that, packed it up and headed to MA for memorial day weekend.

First day there I sank it in Marty's mudhole, where it stayed for most of the day.

Went to Mabell the next day. So yes, that was really my first time 'wheeling' it. :D

just run a weak engine, slushy transmission, and shitty driveshafts...

oh wait, you are too cool for that
