Nice one t-pain.
I'm with Mark on this. Screw a trailer or annoying hitch tray for that kinda of stuff.I can't be pulling up to go diving with a trailer or hitch tray. One, I've had a hitch tray, they are a pain in the ass. Parking is extremely limited at dive spots, so both are out. I can't be leaving my expensive equipment/rental stuff out in the open when I'm on my way to/from diving if I stop to get food/hang out/etc.
I don't get what more information you need? I need space, period.
Correct. For us men, there is nothing more enjoyable than driving a pickup truck.
Agreed and understood (on everything but the car part). Get a "newish" vehicle. You forgot one of the first things I said as a reason why I'm looking at a new car. I want a new car so I don't have to do any work on them, in terms of maintenance or getting them to what I need.
I feel like I always have to explain stuff to you :dunno:
Sweet!Pitbull is no long gay they honor it so I just got some 37" rockers
That is where I disagree with you. To have space, do you need a pickup? No. Does a pickup have more space than a car? Yes, obviously. But there is a large gap between the tiny space offered by the back seat of a 2 door JK, and a pick up truck. Many new cars have a good amount of space (excluding the mustang I droveI'm with Mark on this. Screw a trailer or annoying hitch tray for that kinda of stuff.
Aside from that, that's where I stop agreeing. You want space? Buy a pickup. You want a new car? Well then you don't have any space.
Ya, it was just a thought.Screw wheeling/DDing a JK.
I don't know about you, but on the road, I enjoy driving a fast car. More so than a bumpy pick-up truck.Correct.
"New" car is a relative term, which for me means newer than 1991.Agreed and understood (on everything but the car part). Get a "newish" vehicle.
there are a lot more pro's I feel for a new vehicle (Warranty, no one has beaten on it before you, Warranty, its got that brand new car smell, it has the "latest technology", etc.)
I didn't realise others were options. Last I read you were toying between a Mustang and some Hyundai or something. That is where I disagree with you. To have space, do you need a pickup? No. Does a pickup have more space than a car? Yes, obviously. But there is a large gap between the tiny space offered by the back seat of a 2 door JK, and a pick up truck. Eh, this has been super beaten to death. I'd love a fast car too, but I've got to wait till my barn is up to build one.I don't know about you, but on the road, I enjoy driving a fast car. More so than a bumpy pick-up truck.
I hear you.Although it didn't start out this way, my search has steered towards "new" vehicles. While there is the whole depreciation thing by driving it off the lot, there are a lot more pro's I feel for a new vehicle (Warranty, no one has beaten on it before you, Warranty, its got that brand new car smell, it has the "latest technology", etc.)
It is the new car payment that bothers me, but some people can swing it. Alll the power to them.that looks like a list of cons to me
that looks like a list of cons to me
GLO on the PBB has them for $110 shipped (still a bit more than I'd like to spend) but I sent them an email & PM a few months back asking how much further out does it sticks over a stock cover 'cause I have a 265 sized spare underneath and it makes it a bit tight with axle clearance. I never heard back. Maybe I'll try again.Bill, ill keep my eye open. The stock one on my dads truck is pretty rusty and thin feeling. That could be a good christmas present too.
damn I was hoping for more of a reaction :eyes:Which is why you aren't looking at a new car.
Back on another subject we've already hashed... someone find me a steel diff cover for an AAM 11.5 that isn't $200+. I came too close again backing around stumps and rocks today, I just don't want to have to think about it.
Ballistic stopped making theirs for shelf stock, they can do it special order, but we know how that would go. :| Everything else is aluminum finned crap.
When I PM'd Dan a few months back he seemed like he had no interest in the AAM axles.I'm kinda surprised ruffstuff doesn't have em. Then again most people would put a chrome cover on instead...

You buy it and pay for the repairs when I crack it and sure! You should get one of those super cool transparent lexan covers! lastara
Don't have the time nor the drive to make the bolt/base ring. Nor am I just going to weld something to that crappy thin stock cover.Make yo own
