Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You guys don't have to deal with Modified Height inspection, either. Check this out:

Part of the test is you gotta drive up the concrete berm on the left with your driver side tires, with the passenger side on the scales. They measure the amount of weight transfer to the passenger side from being off camber, and if you wind up with over 62.4% of the total weight resting on the downhill side, your truck fails.

Weigh down the driver's side of the Jeep. Then yell "SLAP THAT STICKER ON BITCH!!!"

hire a couple sumo wrestlers to sit on the drivers side and run it through inspection for you

I see a reason for dual suckdown winches. one per side.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ma hight is (wheel width x wheel base)/2200 rounded up to nearest whole is Max numb pod inches you can lift

I find that whole inspection equation thing to be total :bs:

MA law states no more the 2" suspension lift. It overrules that equation.

The inspection station uses the equation. The police use the 2" lift rule (when they want).

I called the DMV on it and they said formula then she mailed me the cheat the inspection stations us. List a shit load if trucks up to 92. You just have to make sure the shop measuresfrom the door line

I was just looking at that dumb thread on Pirate an hour ago...and of course there's like 30 threads about it on here too. I should know by now to stay my ass outta those kinda threads because all they do is irritate the shit out of me. Am I just that much done with building XJ's, or is the XJ crowd collectively getting stupider?

I blame a lot of the LCOG sackriders on you anyway. Look what you did, you little jerk. .!.:D.!.

nope. mass law states no more than 2 inches, OR the equation given (whichever is greater), which applies separately to tire height increase and suspension height increase iirc. And it's calculated based off the highest stock suspension (i.e. 1" UpCountry.) Jay has actually educated a couple of cops on this and hasn't gotten a ticket yet. Helps when you can cite MGL by chapter and verse :scottm:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think the mirror law is XXXXed up one point say either just review or both sides then another says two facing back and to the left

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My jeep wont pass because of the gas tank and shocks through the floor. 35's and mid width axles without flares isnt helping the cause though.

thats the biggest bunch of bullshit ive ever herd, i can get mine to pass easily if i wanted to, stop being a pussy

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Technically they can.

Ya, and I actually think its after a certain period of time (like 30 or 60 days). At that point they suspend your registration, which I have been there in person when someone had their Jeep impounded on the spot for expired registration. They made him get out, called a tow truck, and one of us had to turn around and pick him up.

ive gone close to a year and never had my regs suspended. Ive gotten letters in the mail saying i need to get it inspected.

I had my registration expire on my stock 2 door green jeep (never got a notification in the mail, and this was literally the 2nd day after it had expired...just hadn't noticed yet) and a cop pulled me over for the sticker being out of date, ran the plates, saw it was expired, towed it, and gave me a ride back to work. Where I was supposed to have been the entire time, instead of sneaking a trip out to dunkin donuts :anon:

Got a ride to the RMV from someone at work, re-upped the registration, and went to the tow yard and forked over $100 to get it back. PITA day that was
