THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Also asian's are hilarious. There's this genius chick in my circuit analysis class and she's clearly FROM china. When ever she answers a question I find it pretty funny. "Dah deribatib of v wiff repect do i(L) is dah intagrall frah zedo to foh..." It's like listening to a retard that kicks ass at math and physics.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

IIRC Factory Five is working on a new kit car that is going to use subaru running gear. I think I recall hearing that the kit is supposed to run somewhere in the $10k range, obviously not including whatever other parts you need to source (engine, trans, suspension, etc). Also the last I heard they hadn't decided between coupe, roadster, roadster w/ hard top (or w/ soft top), t-tops, targa top, etc but may be supporting multiple options.

I would love to build a tiny car with STi (or at least WRX) engine, 2 seats, t-top (or roadster w/ hard top).

But I really suspect I'm going to bend a link eventually especially with longer links.

Bending a link hardly necessitates swapping it out for a spare. If it skews your alignment that much, just crank it out a few turns and drive home.

All of my lowers are slightly bent, every now and then I'd spin them so the bend was down and go wheeling for another year.

My truck weighs probably 1.5x as much as your MJ and that was with 2" x 0.25 wall. I think you'll be fine. :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'd be willing to bet you'll NEVER break one depending on what you build it out of.
break? I agree. Bend? I probably will... I tend to do some pretty stupid shit. And I don't mean that in a good way, I'm being honest here :gag:

circuit analysis is all fun and games till you get to Circuit Analysis II: Butt Raping Edition. Then it's all LAPLACE TRANSFORM OF MY DICK, CONVOLVE WITH YOUR ASS, HOPE YOU LIKE POLES AND ZEROS, AGHGHGGHGHHG RIEMANN SUM

those suck nut.
I was gonna find one and put it in my other MJ. Been looking for 360s though.

With the 427s anyway, I like the Lone Star one better...pretty much only because the wheelbase is a few inches longer. Plus I like the way they option their cars and the few times I've talked to them about it, everyone there was really cool.

I also like that they don't make you go digging around in junkyards for donor Mustang II front ends or any of that kinda junk...they provide the whole steering and front A-arms with the option to upgrade components where you want to. And you just tell them it's getting a LS2 motor with a T-56 trans, and the frame comes with the proper motor mount locations, trans mounts, headers, and exhaust to fit that configuration.

There's a few projects ahead of that one though...

I should have taken a picture of my father's friend Gary's aluminum Hemi block.

Sent a rod down straight through the pan, destroyed the cylinder wall, bent like 3-4 valves.

Had something to do with the valve springs loosening up or something, I forget. Indy didn't mention to him the correct adjustments or something. It did get multiple passes out at Bonneville doing 200+ mph.

Either way, he turned it into a badass $10k coffee table.

I took this class just because it was about the only engineering class available to me at this school. I XXXXing hate it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I gave him the best idea.

I've done that before :laugh3: Blew the heater regulator valve while heading up to Boston for new years '08. Bypassed the heater valve and just sent the coolant right back into the engine, filled it back up, and drove the rest of the way to town. It was the afternoon so it was warm enough...

...next morning I was hung over and it was quite cold. I was wrapped up in blankets and my hoodie the entire way home. Fun times. Worked well enough.

did you have windows?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah but I had a huge gap in my door so it was quite drafty. Not saying it was as bad as no windows at all though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

stuff the drivetrain from Bill's in Rob's and drive it. Hell, bring it to my place and I'll swap the interior for you while you swap the motor.
Haha, you keep saying that, and I keep telling you its about a million times easier and faster for me to pull the Jeep less than 100 yards into my garage, and do the engine swap on solid ground under shelter, than it is for me to try to get the Jeep over to your place, drive out to your place, and try to do an engine swap outside in a yard on piece of plywood.

I would rip the interior (carpet/seats) out of it at my place, replace with equivalents from big green, and then I've said you can pull the dash from Bill's and use that. The only difference is the lower tan pieces which I could give you at a later date.

No where close to as bad.

am i the only one here that would consider a srt4 or cobalt ss as a dd?
