On a different note, I talked to a guy at Lakewood today about that bellhousing.

He's pretty confident I can redrill it for the Ford pattern after I get it. He looked up the bolt spacing on the Ford and said there's plenty of meat on the Dodge bellhousing flange for that pattern.

Also, no need for a locating kit like some d-bag on Pirate said since they CNC them now so they should be right on the money as far as input shaft alignment.

As long as the Dodge input shaft/bearing retainer fits mint, I'm good to go. All I need to locate is the clutch fork/pivot ball setup which may or may not be hard to find.

I already have a line on a cheap 2WD Dodge NP435 I can probably rape the parts off of.

a doubler shaft, a D300, a partially modded 231, and a pair of plates that only need clocking holes drilled. I was waiting to drill those till I got it in the jeep to determine clearances and stuff.

build your own doubler with that junk and sell me the complete one. then, you'll have a sense of accomplishment and i can go wheelin.

Just found out that OBD1 inspection in NJ is only emissions, no computer or anything.

Like, doesn't matter what motor it is, if it passes the tailpipe sniffer you get a sticker. They look at nothing else.

Welcome to last year for us in MA.

They got rid of all the dynos.

We don't even have to pass a sniffer anymore. Last time I got my Honcho inspected they looked at nothing.
