also, im thinkin button on canvas windows. the back windows could be all canvas, front id like some see-thru shit

100% certain i melted another shift fork.

this is the third time it happened in this t-case. so something seems amiss.

it just slipped into nuetral while doing 75 on the highway.

i already replaced the shift collar back in arizona and the teeth were worn at a slight angle causing that.

just gonna find another t-case and toss my sye on it. or maybe a 241. i wanna keep the simplicity of being able to bolt on any stock xj front shaft and its the right length

That happened on mine once, the aluminum range fork got completely destroyed by the shift collar. Turns out the splines on the oil pump were completely gone. Like the gerotor just had a smooth hole through it instead of engaging the output shaft.

I have 4 milk crates full of good 231 guts that didn't get reused when I made the doubler boxes...if you need a stupid part and don't want to take apart a whole case to get it, I'll send ya whatever.

p.s. the stamped steel range fork from earlier 231 boxes tends to hold up better than the newer aluminum one.
