THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If I didn't have one of my good friend's wedding's to go to I'd be on my way down right now.

Good Luck Adam/Colin/Ross.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hey now, Ken's a good guy.
Oh he absolutely is. I just would be less surprised to see him stuck on the side of the road than Adam.

Sorry Ken :kissyou:
WTF how does that happen??
Ignoring piston slap for ~30k miles :dunno:

Good luck fellas.

That might not be the only thing that is...

A little birdy told me a certain someone has blue exhaust coming out in NY...
Hopefully it is nothing.

Amber Fire mobile.
They are hoping it is just a stuck lifter. They are more than 1/2 way there and are in a parking lot pulling the valve cover.
I hope it is nothing and they can just clean some gunk and be back on the road soon, but "serious sputtering" is never good.

No, but hopefully if they need him he can come to the rescue.

Really?

by the description he told me im going to say cracked piston.

burning a shit ton of oil and making a knocking that isnt quite a bottom end knock. colin says it sounds like it could be valvetrain but its a little more knocky soundin

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I won't know until after 5 if i can get a new tire. Let me know if he wants to wait on me or not.

i fixed my 250 on tuesday, if i can find one new tire for my dolly after work i could tow it home for him. where exactly are they?

If you are planning on heading down and back tonight, I would be willing to go with you for company and to help load it and bring it back. (that is if Adam plans on continuing down to rocktoberfest and leaving the Jeep)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If it comes down to it I can go pick him up, but earliest I'd be able to get there with no traffic is close to 10pm... Mia might be mad that I'd be bailing on plans with her (no, she wouldn't want to go for the ride) but if it does come down to it I can help out.

On the plus side, there IS a CAI for sale on craigslist for my truck brand new in box, in middleton NY

6 lug? You can borrow mine. Call me, I'm done with the interwebs for the afternoon.

I told Colin that too, but he seemed to think it was a stuck valve and I wasn't there so I let them continue with the valve cover.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

He says he's renting a uhaul and should be all set. I guess if thats the case he must be planning to head home?:dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So far on my sick day I have worked half the day and spent half the day on the motorcycle or in the garage (after I started feeling good enough to move around and shit). I'd say that's a decent day, give some time to the boss and some time to me

Time to go take a flap disk to the bracket to clean up the weld spatter, bevel the edges, and burn that XXXXer to the axle. About damn time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If he has AAA he can get his jeep towed 100 miles. I'll just meet him halfway and use my AAA to get him the rest of the way home. He's got the engine of all engines at his house he can swap in. That's right, he's got the engine from my first car. A mystical beast, the legendary engine of all engines. I think it puts out 3000 horsepower.

Skimming your posts for the past couple years i've realized 75% of them are that you need to go to the hardware store to pick something up. I think this next time you go you should just buy everything you might need for a few months.

If he ended up needing a ride back I was gonna have him use AAA so I'd at least only have to go ~ 250-300 miles overall instead of closer to 500. Thankfully it looks like he'll be all set though, so it's irrelevant either way :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just got a denial letter from my health care "provider" saying they don't think they should pay for my wifes recent ER stay, bill is just over 12k, only took them 5 days to deny it, usually takes weeks for them to even start processing them

XXXX Blue Cross

on a lighter note, if they need a place to stop hauling Ross's jeep back I'm only about an hour or so from middletown

They figure it out?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

not that I know of, he said he was gonna rent a UHaul though. I don't know if he's planning to head down still, or just heading home. He hasn't responded yet telling me either way what his plan was

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's sound like a very unaffordable solution
