THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

This place is dead
That might not be the only thing that is...

A little birdy told me a certain someone has blue exhaust coming out in NY...
Hopefully it is nothing.

Adam or Ross?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My first thoughts was Colin's truck for some reason.

Oh. PSC makes one too for the same application.

Kinda what I wanted to do on the XJ.
That gives me an idea of how to do a mount for something like that and integrating an anti-rock mount into that box.

You used that bearing you have (which by the way, can I still get that off you?) with hydro assist right?

Amber Fire mobile.
They are hoping it is just a stuck lifter. They are more than 1/2 way there and are in a parking lot pulling the valve cover.
I hope it is nothing and they can just clean some gunk and be back on the road soon, but "serious sputtering" is never good.
Mr. Idriveapieceofshiteverywhereanditsneverletmedownstein? ;-)
No, but hopefully if they need him he can come to the rescue.

Really?

HEY ADAM, I HAVE AN EXTRA MOTOR YOU CAN BUY. RAN REAL GOOD UNTIL SOMEONE TRIED AVOIDING A FOX!

Ya, don't know why, but read it fast and thought of diesels, and the injector issue with Travis's truck people have been discussing lately. Then I realized Travis wasn't going there, and Colin was the only other diesel I could think of so. Ya, don't try to understand the pathways my trains of thought take, it will only succeed in making you dumber, or at the very least confusing the sh*t out of you.

Well I never actually used it, but yeah, that was gonna be the plan.

I'll dig it out and parts train it up to Rocktoberfest.

Naw that wouldn't even be news to report if it was him.

Eek. I hope so too. It's been sounding funny for a long time but it's funny that it picked a long distance trip to hint at kicking the bucket.

Funny? I would say that is how Murphy's law works.

Hey now, Ken's a good guy.

It has. All hope isn't lost yet. I hope it is just a stuck lifter and they are not battling it all night.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just talked to Colin as well.

I recommended dropping the oil pan, unbolting the connecting rods of the offending cylinder(s), knocking the pistons up into the bores, and bolting the oil pan back on.

Not a quick solution, but better than having to go 'round the outside of the block I guess.
