THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

A couple days ago my buddy agreed to give me a hand holding the trackbar bracket lined up with the axle while I tacked it together last night

I ended up getting it together myself with clamps and hammers

ratchet straps are a godsend when lining links and trackbars up

Old garage 22'x11' new garage 13.5'x26' WIN!
nice! That's a bit of an improvement.

seriously. I've gotten so used to working on jeeps with no help that I don't even really consider who to call for help, I just start thinking about how to achieve my goal with only one person. I've done several motor and drivetrain swaps alone now with no real problems.

Oh and my 46s arrived in Oxford today... do I go and pick them up in the 5 ton and risk an inspection ticket, or the MJ? Now I just need rims.

It wasn't to line up trackbar with the bracket. It was just keeping a few pieces of the bracket in place before I welded it together. Jeep is already centered and braces with ratchet straps

Oh and I now have my license back full time. that whole no driving after 7 thing was starting to get annoying.

Ask Adam how much fun it was trying to drop the 4.0 in my MJ with the engine hoist  He was standing on the thing to keep it from lifting up (only because my MJ isn't on even ground).

5 ton. No balls.

Ken would rather brag that he did something by himself than ask someone to help him and get it done in half the time.

yeah, I really prefer jeeps with axles when I do a swap, even if they're just stock junk barely bolted in. WAY stabler.

Only reason I am even debating it is because there's a cop that sits on rt20 in Charlton and he loves giving me tickets :gee::wow:

I didn't have any real problems once I got to working on it alone. My buddy just lives 1.5 miles down the road so it's common for us to yell at eachother when it would be convenient to have an extra hand.

I always just end up sending him a message asking for a hand then going out to the garage and getting to work on it myself. If I finish before he shows up (often the case) I tell him to go get me a beer and pick something out for himself. :D

damnit, I forgot to have him turn the wheel while I check for binding last night. Would have been the perfect thing to take care of while he was over and not really dressed to get dirty. :banghead:

I still have the trailer if you want me to help ya out. I'm heading out to wrights for 630 but I can call ya when I get back if this can be done later in the evening.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

damn you caught me.

Another part of it is that I hate spending other people's time even if they're OK with it.

That'd be awesome but I think the freight place closes at 6 :(
