THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I kept all my receipts in a envelope in the Jeep. They all faded due to the heat during the years it sat unused. Not like I'll be returning anything anyway so I'm not losing any sleep.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i have a folder for every receipt for every product i put on my jeep(s) since 2005

its over an inch thick

do not want to add up

I have a folder like that too, with mainly the aftermarket or replacement parts receipts only. (I didn't both keeping receipts for fluids or anything like that. )

I decided to add it up one day. I wished I hadn't after I got into the 5 digit range...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Chris start revealing your plans on your new vehicle.

I'm bored and want something to read about.

What do you wanna know that I haven't already discussed ad nauseum?

Here's one. At each corner of the frame I'm going to have a small J hook, and a corresponding one by each tire on the axles/arms. Next to the hi-lift jack I'm going to keep a piece of chain that's as long as the distance between hooks at full extension.

So if I need to change a tire or something, I'll just attach the hooks together with the shortest length possible, and hi-lift off the corner of the closest rocker. No dicking around with ratchet straps to hold the axle up, no jacking forever until you get to full extension, just hi-lift and go.

Me like. Me copy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

a suckdown winch at each corner would be cooler.

you could 3 wheel it to change a tire.

im smarter than chris

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Any reason why removing the rubber joints from my four link and using hard joints is a bad idea? Do I need them for this magical 'deflection ?'

You need rubbers on a four link.

Think about it. If one side flexes up and the other flexes down, the UCAs will try to pull the pinion in opposite directions.

SO XXXXING WHAT.

It'll be fine. Do whatever you want. Colin and the interwebs are both DUMBHEADS :dunce:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

to add a somewhat serious note to the above post... I don't know shit about the engineering or geometry or whatever, but I do know that the rear 4 link in my Jeep uses 8 johnny joints and has been fine for years...

That's because you have a double triangulated four link.

He doesn't have that up front.
