THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just learned that a great way to pick up chicks is to jump from behind your jeep at 8:30 pm as they come back from their night walk and ask if she can turn your steering wheel while you put back back in your lower track bar bolt

we should go park outside sorority houses and remove our trackbar bolts

That sucks dude...sorry to hear.

My front driveshaft bolts were backed halfway out. Just noticed this tonight fixing my t-case shifter linkage. Putting new ones in with blue loctite tomorrow night.

colin sucks at building jeeps

Bad news: I nearly cut my finger off with an angle grinder, hit the bone
worse news: I'm between insurance
Better news: I'm sitting here BSing with Jay and surfing the internet because I'm the least important thing in the er
Best news: it self cauterized so it's barely bleeding!

no sweat on my part, it was my own dumbassery that did it. didn't have the shield adjusted and wasn't wearing gloves.

Rob, hope you get better.

hmmmm says the ER doc

didn't cut any tendons or nerves, there's only really fat there no muscle, and the only artery I cut is redundant and self cauterized from the angle grinder so no severe bleeding. as long as it doesn't get infected I'll be 100% in a few weeks.

the "easy" way to remove a gas tank and 8.25 from an xj.... until you cut your finger from a run away grinder. lol Just glad it didn't knick the bone. On the bright side you were correct. That was much easier to remove it that way... just not quicker due to the trip to the ER

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

didn't have the shield adjusted

I permanently adjusted the shield on mine by leaving it in the box it came in...

Firm believer in the idea that safety devices like that (and attempts to circumvent them) can cause a tool to be more dangerous in the long run.

Yes my table saw and circular saws all have their respective guards removed as well.

YMMV

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The finger looks yummy. Glad it's still attached.

It's cool being able to see what's inside. Just glad it's not my finger

That is how I learned to use an angle grinder, no shield and no extra handle thing. I agree, if you're more cognizant of the tool without the guards from the beginning, you'll be safer (if the person is not retarded).

I know there are freak accidents, like the time one cutting blade caught and kicked it down into my leg, but I generally only use that guard as a spark deflector when I don't want sparks shot in my face.

Agreed, despite the fact that I use it all of the time for the reason in bold. It's the same reason the safties on my guns don't get used. Not all of them even have a saftey.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh, Ken glad you're alright and didn't lose a finger.

Haha, That is good Chris. I wonder how many idiots will actually buy that thinking it will work.

Hey Ross, I want you to try something out for me... :D
