Makes me wonder... if he hit you and got seriously XXXXed up because of some aftermarket shit you put on your XJ could you get in trouble for that? On one hand he hit you so it's his fault but could he (or a lawyer) argue that they were injured due to aftermarket parts on your vehicle and sue you because of it? I'm just curious

The rims I'm putting them on will be bare ones from a recycler, found a place that'll sell em to me for 50 bucks a whack, so no worries on breaking beads. I usually use the high-lift trick to break beads actually, works great, no effort required.

they handle the fuel no problem... To mount i would usually lay the wheel down soak the bead of the tire in diesel and force that bitch on by hand... then use tire irons for the other bead... to mount a tire it takes me less than a minute with one tire iron..

I owe you 150 for the motor and Justin let me borrow some dough to put the bus on the road... I get paid on Thursday, so maybe I'll swing down then if you'll be around??

and as far as the bender... yeah, I've got that... wanna give me some of your tube?! In all honesty, I think I'm going to ask for money for Christmas and just buy some HREW. Then try to get cracking on it as soon as the snow melts.


I know I wont, but that's my plan

Balls I was hoping you'd come down tomorrow night. Billy is coming down for the shocks so we could have a three way date at the 99.

Haha I wish I could spare some of my tube. Get on it! HREW is better than nothing in my mind, though I'm no engineer.

I might be able to do tomorrow night. Gotta check with Mia though to see if we have any plans I forgot about.. if I go I might eat a salad for the sake of saving money :D

And yeah, that's basically my thoughts on it, at least hrew is something, even if its not the best its still plenty good.

I took out my leaf springs and just duct taped a bunch of pbr cans on top of one another. Then I made some sweet coil buckets to hold them to the axle and bolted them to my frame. I've got a 5 link(4 link +1) and re used my current bump stops. Maybe later i'll add air bumps later but i'm pretty happy with my set up right now.

that thing has some INSANE body roll, it's more nuts than my old XJ.

Just got my D-ring tabs cut at the local steel shop / fab place, think I'll start welding my bumpers together tonight or at least start drawing and cutting things to size.

you have a traction bar, you gots no axle wrap and you gots articulation. don't worry about it yet
