THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Less rebound = mo betta.

Gotta have the axle dropped out for the next hit. Otherwise it just packs up and rides on the bumpstops.

You won't notice a difference in the slow stuff...most of the valving only comes into play with higher shaft speeds.

ohhh i was thinking the numbers worked the other way around... so yea im dumb

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so i want soft reboundage? XXXX. i have mediumish rebound because thats what dumb adam told me.

still feels good granted they dont explode on me though.

once i can afford to make the j-10 cool im gonna make XXXXin sure im getting what i want

It only becomes an issue with multiple hits in a row. One of the reasons Jeepspeeds can go as fast as they do with a relatively small amount of travel is they get up on top of the whoops and the axle drops into the holes between them...so when they're at speed there's more uptravel than at ride height. You only get there if you dump the rebound...

Mine are a hybrid valve stack somewhere between light and med. light on all 4 corners, and I'm pretty happy with it.

Compression is med. firm up front and firm rear, for reference.

which is how they can get away with 10"/12" F/R travel. most guys are running 6" up, 4" down. basically the opposite of normal school of thought (yes i searched after posting in the JS forum, shoot me).

Ok so Rob brought up a good point about limit straps. I need them. Where do I order them and what length do I want? the shocks I ordered are 29.70" extended, and I'd like to set them up to use all of their travel. sooo like 27" limit straps and let them stretch or whatever? sounds good to me. i'm talking to myself.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Travis, I think I'm bailing for Saturday. I might be going to the concert's rescheduled date on Friday so I wont want to wake up early on Saturday.

Yup, I got my replacement straps for the one I cut up front from him. Nice guy and quick turn around. I don't think they are as nice as my old Beard ones and there is nowhere near as much stitching but they are 1/2 the cost and should work for me just fine.

Yup, figure out everything and the mounting first, then buy straps.

You should limit strap your jeep to the ground so it won't blow away on Sunday.
