THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

wait, you bought a Mustang?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Here's my argument for driving stick. Get in a stick shift vehicle. Now put your right hand behind your back and sit on your left leg. Then drive to work. It's a XXXXing extreme sport. Try having that much of a crazy time with an automatic. I don't think so.
I'll give you $1 if you can do that on a motorcycle and not crash.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i dont like driving stick in a diesel truck.. its not fun for me. any other day i'd prefer a stick (except in my XJ, AW4 ftw for the trail). the built autos behind my friends' cummins and dmaxs shift faster and harder.

i plan on getting a DD in a few months, some beater mpg machine.. it will no doubt be a stick.

So...you don't like driving stick in two of the most fun vehicles?

You're an auto guy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm just not sure that I want to spend money on a tuner and stuff.

Smarty is $650.

If I go this route, the 440 will definitely not be going in the MJ until the spring.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I like having the AW4 for wheeling. DD'ing manuals is much funner though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I can't believe I ever considered putting an auto in the next wheeling rig I build. I dunno WTF I was thinkin that day.

If you think a stick shift sucks off road, you've just never driven one that's geared properly. :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin makes a million dollars an hour. If he stopped smoking ten packs of dildos a day he'd be rich.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I thought I liked having an AW4 for wheeling.

Now I realized I was wrong.

Having the moderately low gearing I have is AWESOME. I won't go back to an auto for wheeling. It's way too much fun.
I've only really "wheeled" a manual once, and it was a bronco 2. I just like being able to put it in 1-2 and not having to worry about shifting.

I would not give a shit about your next build if it was going to have an auto.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, but now you're saying boring > fun and we all know that to be a lie.

have you driven a stick behind a diesel truck?

Even more NFW.

IIRC that worked out pretty well for Trevor. :wierd:

even suncoast couldnt figure that one out, it was a chromo output shaft. he breaks the craziest shit. it it was a manual he would have blown up something.... the auto did last a burnout through every gear, into overdrive, and he snapped the speedo while shredding tire sitting in place. sticky ass tires + high stall TC and an attempted hole shot = busted.

So...you don't like driving stick in two of the most fun vehicles?

You're an auto guy.

rowing 1st to 2nd to 3rd before hitting 40 mph and throwing a stick 30ft in both directions does not equal fun.

I love when people say this.

I just put mine in first and not have to worry about shifting or even using the gas.

Do you think I'm bangin through gears going 1 mph over rocks?

The last thing I wanna do anymore is mess with my DD.

I bought it so that I can have fun with my projects and not have to worry about getting to work in the morning. Having a project as a DD sucks balls.

If I wanna haul ass I'll drive the 5.9 ZJ or get a fast car. My truck doesn't need to do that, not that it's a dog outta the box anyway.

Plus I enjoy having 210k+ miles on the factory clutch without a hint of slippage.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah. Sold the Altima in April/May timeframe and bought a 2005 GT about a month later. Paid it off cash so that's pretty awesome, kind of nice having a newer car w/o a payment though at the same time part of me kind of wishes I got something older/cheaper... the reason being that I burned through a good chunk of the mortgage down payment and have to save up again. Got a couple houses I'm interested in once I get back up to an acceptable down payment.
