This should not show up on my record since it was Continued without Finding and will be dismissed in 1 year if I don't break probation. If an employer digs hard enough I guess they could possibly find the continuation but idk what approvals you need before you can even get that level of detail, normal employers won't be able to see it.

Supposedly the only thing that might be affected by this (for me) is my license to carry but I'm not sure how that will work yet since it's a discretionary thing and up to the local licensing authority at this point.

And the flat rate lawyer is pretty nice.. Mine wasn't flat rate so the price could have changed dramatically. Yeah insurance will suck but again... I saved a ton on the lawyer so hopefully they offset each other a bit.

Time to call the auto shop and ask if there was any damage to the frame/etc on my car that will cause lasting damage. The car definitely pulls a bit to the left now at highway speed but it does have 2 brand new tires on the passenger side and two older tires on the drivers side so the tire size difference may have something to do with it. From the original explanation I got it didn't sound like any frame/etc damage but figure it's worth double checking.

X2, I'm gunnna bail out early today to work on my jeep. Unfortunately its gunna be on red jeep. Gotta rebuild the e-brake and have Howie put in a new windshield tonight. Then I can get a new inspection sticker since it expired last month.

mine expires next month... im hoping it'll pass with the crack in the windshield, its more towards the pass side... i hope i can drive this thing to work tomorrow, all i need to do is ream the pitman arm, buy a socket to change the 60 yoke make, front shock mounts and slam those on (more complicated than normal... damn big ass shocks...). then of course itll probably drive like doodoo salad.

I will be going to the JY this sat (assuming decent weather) and getting a steering box. Rebuild that sat afternoon, install it Sat/Sun, and finally get the 1-ton steering in after that.

Now that I am driving again I want to be wheeling as soon as my suspension is up and I have my full license back.

I'm ecstatic that my buddy can get my sticker for me w/o any issues. I wasn't looking forward to fixing the ebrake lines.

i dont have an ebrake either. the place i usually go to is cool about the jeep... since this one is OBDII and i dont have a CEL they prob will just give me a sticker.

I just want an ebrake back since its a manual and it likes to roll away when left in neutral. I have a pinecone in my driveway that I use as a wheel chock every morning to let my jeep warm up.

I will probably spend time fixing the ebrake before winter comes around when I will be driving the Jeep more frequently and want to let it warm up but until then, fawk it. I'll just leave it in gear. Pretty sure I have the necessary parts to fix it already, just gotta find out where I left them. Only reason it broke is because I decided to try and adjust the ebrake by maxing out the adjuster at the ebrake lever rather than at the brakes. Guess I should do it right this time :doh:

Went to bed at 11 and woke up at 6:20. Also amazing.

And I just took next Monday off and then found out that the hurricane might be heading north and whatever is left of it may be hitting us that day. Damnit. I was hoping for nice weather.

Thats how I used to warm up my old s-10, i kept a cinder block in the bed. Having an e-brake is definitely nice though, I need to get mine working.

I find that when i get too much sleep i feel even more tired when i wake up. Im usually good with right around 8 hours. went to bed last night (this morning) at like 2, woke up at 745 and im feeling good so far.



also, got the 64 in a 30 reckless driving charge dropped to a $100 speeding ticket, I can live with that. Was in and out of court in under an hour

It's over a week away, don't sweat it. I didn't even know there was a potential hurricaine.

Normally I would agree with you but I have been extremely overtired lately, so catching up was much needed.

Sounds like a fair trade. Could have been a lot worse :thumbup:

I just heard about the hurricane yesterday. Just found out it's supposed to be turning north today.

I'm not worried about it. Just that I learned there is already the potential for rain next Monday right after I took the day off.

Does most any JY tend to accept scrap or do some junkyards only accept steel in the form of a vehicle that the can turn around and part out?

IIRC I heard the price of steel is up pretty high and IIRC my buddy has quite a few old axles, springs, frames, steel barrels, wheels, etc that were dumped in the woods behind his house. I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile to pull a truck or trailer out there some evening and just load it up with old shit that no one wants and bring it to the yard down the road from my house.

That's what I figure but if I have to drive 20-30 minutes out of my way to find a yard that will take any/all scrap metal it would be less worthwhile than if I can just bring it down to the place 1 mile down the road.
