THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i dont predict the cell in the j10 lasting forever. i just welded tabs to it to mount it lols. friend of mine made a fuel cell before and used a stock xj pump. well the leftover gas in the pump he was using for mockup sat for a couple years and still had enough gas to make an explosion

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

clutch pedal?

unfortunatley not. its got a 2wd th350 right now. but im shopping for a replacement. its gonna be whatever i come across first whether it be th350, 400 ax-15 or nv3550. cuz i can use any of them and dont particularly care which one

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think im gonna go buy these tomorrow http://newlondon.craigslist.org/pts/2538620845.html, the rims i have on now are 10" wide and i've only lost one bead wheeling with my A/T aired down to like 8 psi, so im not really worried about it. and he is very adamant on how like new they are.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that better be 5 of them for that price still not a great deal

only 4. its not really that great of a deal, but the way i look at it there $968 online, i'll have to wait until the middle of october to get them, and then i'll have to pay to have them mounted and balanced. i can have these rims on tires ready to roll tomorrow. we'll see what happens

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i just came across an 89 e350...would this possibly have 35 spl rear axle?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Lets hope it lasts until the 44's ready :wierd:

Mark what quarry?

Brownstone quarry in CT.

I'm going diving tomorrow, in a quarry, with two friends I got certified with. No highly experienced dive leader or anything, in an environment that I was told is "very cold, and very dark." I hope to be able to see you guys after tomorrow.

I guess there is a bus and a cesna just chilling out at certain depths though, should be awesome.

Holy crap that was a pretty crazy dive. Less than 5 feet visibility, and I mean you couldn't see anything. There was times when we were essentially floating in nothingness, just pitch black, and we could only see each other because of our lights, and those got dim fast if you weren't next to the person. I can not explain the eeriness that being down there, without being to see, and that is only because you have flashlights. All I could think of was Jaws...

Water temps at depth 38*F, and at 74ft depth we were standing on a bus, 69 feet we were looking into the cockpit of an airplane. The most crazy thing about those were, they weren't on the bottom of the quarry, they were just suspended at those depths, so you could swim around and under them.

we were at the tip of the wing during our second dive, and there was something sticking out of the wing, but it was covered in grime/silt. My friend hit it to clean it off, then jumped back like 3 feet in the water. It was a small, plastic alligator, staring at him in the face. (at those depths you can't tell how fake it looked until you got real close). It was hilarious.

i also bought the $100 road hazard warranty. which in turn got me a tire when i was in arizona.

so thats 6 35" km2s for $910. i win

ive been there doing all the crazy activity things. its pretty sweet. theres actually stuff underwater down there?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

how is the stuff suspended? I can't believe it'd be just floating there for that many years, it's gotta be snagged on something.

EDIT: did some googling and apparently they dumped the stuff there intentionally for diving exploration, and it's somehow moored in place...

Ya, there is certainly some stuff under there. We did the other activities like zip line and cliff jumping, inflatable things, etc between dives. I did my certification dives in a large pond in my home town. I never knew that it was a big training area for divers, or that there was anything under there. There is a platform on the bottom to do skills tests, there is a few hula hoops set up in a coarse to swim through, there is a statue of Mary right next to the platform, there is an old rusted Saab sitting on the bottom, there is a sunken boat, and a sunked canoe standing on its end.

anchored to the bottom, and then there is ballast holding it up at that depth. A few large boxes (boxes meant for this purpose) floating about 10-15 feet above the bus, attached with chains, with a bunch of large drums places always use for trash cans inside it. The plane was lighter, so there was a single drum holding up the fuselage, and there was a little bit inside.
