so seeing that im getting tube soon. i asked my "friend" who doesnt like me if i could use the bender that i am 1/4 owner of.
he said no. the other 2 owners of the bender don't exactly like him but they are dumb and don't have jeeps anymore. but are willing to take my side to get it back.
How do I recieve use of this bender? i told him he doesnt need to see me, just have someone pick it up and give it to me, and i dont need to use it at his garage.
I told him if he doesnt let me use it he can come up with my share of it ($200) and i'll be happy. but he wont return my messages.
I want to be civil about this, but he is a stubborn asshole.

Anyone ever repair a washing machine? Mine doesn't do spin cycle anymore but almost everything else works. Thinking of getting another new-to-me set because the dryer isn't that great either.
I'd say get $200 and cut the cord.

I'm waiting to hear back from exmarried-chick if she's going to the Kid Rock show tonight...a few of her friends that she was gonna go with are being all non-committal because it's "too hot and muggy" and might rain. She doesn't care too much about that, but I'll be there tailgating with the whole shop crew, and she doesn't want to be the only girl with 6 other assholes being loud and obnoxious, and it's gonna be her first time doing something social since she split with her ex...etc. No worries, understandable.
One of the friends she's bringing is the girl that I made out with at the bar a while ago who almost puked in my truck when I drove her home. I've seen her again since then and it was awkward, and probably even more so if she comes out tonight. :laugh:
Oh well, it'll be a good show and I'll be pounding beers either way.
Turns out exmarried-chick loves exploring weird creepy places and is fearless when it comes to going through old abandoned buildings, dark woods, etc. I used to do that stuff all the time. We already have a short list of stuff to check out...

How old is it?
Unless it's a newer electronic one, the cycle timer probably runs either on a player-piano or camshaft looking mechanism. Each function the machine has - water in, water drain, agitate, spin, etc - corresponds to a slot or cam on the timing device. Spin cycle should be drain open and a straight shot to the motor instead of going through the agitating/reversing control. You can trace back from there to see if the cam is getting stuck, a slot isn't triggering, etc.
It's also possible that spin cycle works, but the process before it isn't ending properly - there's going to be a water level float switch somewhere on the machine, and spin cycle won't start until the water level switch reaches a minimum. Until that happens it'll think it's still full of water and won't start spinning. See if you can find the float switch and clean/check the lower contacts.

If I had to guess, it's about 10 yrs old. Probably the system you describe. You think I should be able to pull off a panel or two and get a good look at what's inside? Thanks for the tips.

so im going to have the second jeep wrangler replacement frame piece ever built put on my tj.
$169 per side and comes with upper and lower control arm mounts and i think a body mount.
seems like a good deal

It has been 3+ weeks since I filed for my LTC and I haven't heard anything back yet. Every time I call the police department for an update (like I was told to do, was told to call after 2 weeks) the officer in charge of LTC's is not at his desk. I have left a few voicemails how and he has not yet returned one of my calls :smsoap:
I guess I will just make a habit of calling every morning until I finally get in touch with him; I'm done leaving voicemails. THIS is the reason why I hate making phone calls and prefer email.
I really just want to know if he can give me a copy of my safety course cert so I can get a discount on guns/ammo or if I need to get a duplicate copy from the safety school. I think I am just going to request a duplicate from the school if it's free (they told me I can get a duplicate mailed but didn't mention if there was a fee involved).

I beg to differ. I think I've owned more and I'm picking up another 01' tomorrow.
Only problem I've had with my 00' DD Bill is a blown head gasket 2 1/2 yrs ago and it was my fault. I've driven with it that way up until recently and it's finally getting replaced this week. Other then that not a big deal. I have plenty of spare parts though in case.

Also, you shouldn't give them originals of anything. I kept all my originals and gave them photocopies.
Their end isn't the limiting end. It has to go into Boston and get processed through the system. It does suck that you can't get ahold of them when they're treating you so buddy-buddy.

And immediately after passing the info in I realized I should have at least made myself a photo copy but that was too late.
I know the limiting end is in Boston however I still want to get in touch with them about it. I also know there are likely more pressing issues than my LTC so I'm fine with some delay in getting a call-back... just that it has been over a week since my original call was placed with no reply.
