00-01s have the gay 0331 head issue,

Mine's been cool. Just don't be dumb and overheat it and you should be cool. The earlier heads bolt on anyways.

Yeah, the LPD30 doesn't bother me at all. Its the rest of the stuff.

'00 with 105K, no rust, no rot. One ding in a fender. Brake light is on, needs tires, unknown if it has ABS or not. $3k even, not negotiable.
I have her calling back on it, if it does not have ABS I'll go look at it; if it has ABS I'm gonna pass I think.

I dont see how any of that will make a difference to Angel. It's not like she will ever drive that Jeep like any of us do ours. If she really needs to beat on an XJ she drives yours.

Could be as simple as a sensor.

Remember the crap I went through with my CTD? Turned out to be a cut wire on one of the sensors. I already had a spare since new hub bearings come with new sensors. Fix = free.

i kinda have. i've been doing maintenance on my neighbor's 01 since i was in high school. the head went at ~80k, the coil on pack has been replaced 3 times and every so often it'll randomly fail (nasty spark knock) you turn it off for 5 minutes and its fine again and wont fail again for months, and the CEL keeps coming on for the evap crap.. probably a cracked vacuum line along the framerail or something.

the things is mint as hell otherwise, has 130k on it, they are the original owners and i before i started working on it, it was dealer maintained.

My brother's EVAP light came on all the time too, his is a '98. That's not specific to 00-01.

For every person out there that has a problem with them I'd bet there are a ton more without a problem.

Yeah, the '99 came on too. It was the solenoid, swapped it and it was fine. As long as the lines are not rotted it really can't be a big deal. The systems are not complicated on XJs.

im pretty sure she is coming to huntington next weekend now as well
